I think this went off topic because we were waiting for an official response. Oh, and I agree in the fashion of there's no way we could really tell, but I wouldn't do it myself. I'd probably enjoy the time raising a character up to a certain level. Most often when leveling up characters I save before and level up for good to perfect stats because I really hate only gaining 1 hp per level.

Well, I wouldn't allow it if I were Mike, but I'm not going to lose any sleep at night if it's allowed.

Regarding the OP (topic seems to have changed):

No this is not allowed. If you want to cheat under the rationale that nobody will ever know, then that's your business, and hell you're probably right.

Third party modification of game data is not allowed though, no matter what reasoning is behind it.
