My feelings on The Demon Rush
Right now I just have the commentary cheat sheet, and there's probably stuff I'm missing, so feel free to add stuff to it.

Commentary station:

-Mention the event and what it's about every 20-30 minutes. Mentioning that the donations are going to pcf roughly every 20-30 minutes. It also doesn't hurt to mention what PCF does (preventing cancer through research, education, and community outreach)

-Read off donations every 10-15 minutes. If a game is super popular and getting a flood of donations, you will want to wait until every 20-30 minutes so the commentary isn't dominated by donation comments.

-Roll-call at least every half-hour so people know who is who in the room if people are constantly moving in and out. If the room is mostly staying the same, then once every hour is probably enough.

-When mentioning a prize, it never hurts to promote the people who made them.

-If the runner is commentating and talking about their run a lot, it's usually best not to interrupt them, but if things are slow, feel free to talk.

Crawlathon WR, get down on my level.
If there's not a problem with this, I'll clean up the cheat sheets here and collectively put them on the marathon guide website.

I dunno, the cheat sheets might be protected by copyright law.
You might actually want to have someone code up a quick little program to pop up a reminder for each thing at the specific intervals, for example, every 20 minutes flash a reminder that says "PCF Plug" and every 30 min one that says "Roll Call." Ideally you'd be able to adjust intervals on the fly. Since everybody at the "stream station" is on a computer, this could be a good way to make sure this sort of thing doesn't get overlooked.

If this was a thing, I'd only stick it in the donation tracker program. Since it's already going to be running all the time.

lol, except when it crashes.  Actually, I think his point is that it could be a small program that everyone with a computer could run, s.t. they'd all get reminders at the same time.  Either way, I could probably do this.  Personally, I'd rather _not_ add it to the tracker app, just because I can only imagine it getting in the way of somebody trying to do actual work.

Edit: Java or C#? Any preference?  Or just use an already written program.

Edit2: http://www.timeleft.info/ This one seems pretty good.

If you're working on this, poke me when you finish, so I can get it up on the guide website. I'm finishing it up today.

Okay first post updated with people to plug during the marathon, so it should be added to your page Cool Matty.

On it. By the way, if you want to start spreading the URL around, you can. The site is still in heavy dev, but the design is basically done at this point. I'm just adding content and adding direct URLs for the guides and such.

If you want to get a subdomain from sda pointed at it or whatever I can do that too, but yea, that's the URL.

I've finished a draft of the donation station cheat sheet - once SMK has proofread it I'll attach to the 2nd post.

Forgot that Taiga doesn't allow attach-edits, so doc is attached to THIS post.
