Chamber of Secrets PS2 (Any%/100%)

The other thread for this game hasn't been active for about 8 years, so I thought I'd start a new thread.

I planning to do a speedrun of COS on the PS2, but I can't find any videos or written speedrun tips at all. Does anyone know of any glitches or tricks that could be used, or even if anyone has done a run of this game?

Finished my first run a few days ago, with a time of 3:42:01. However, this can definitely be improved, and my first goal is sub 3:30, which is definitely possible with a good run. I'm also routing an All Cards% speedrun, as I'm not really sure how 100% would be defined.

I'm playing through this casually for the first time right now, it's an interesting game, I might pick it up for running in the future. Hate those loading times though, they are a plenty!

Yeah, quite a few cases where you'll have a loading screen, followed by one button press, then into another loading screen.

Lost a run today to glitchy stairs, where they'll just refuse to move up and down, stopping you from getting to the gryffindor tower, I have no idea what causes it to happen

Im running the Gamecube version, i have heard they are similar.. My PB for any% is 3:10:20 as of right now, sub 3 hours is easily possible.
