Castlevania : Lament of Innocence

Hello Everyone,

A fellow new to speedrunning here having witnessed it countless times i have decided to take the plunge and try my hand at Castlevania Lament of Innocence as my starter game. Now i have perused about finding video after video via youtube and found the lack of commentator while running odd set. Was Castlevania LoI ever done at an AGDQ or SGDQ? I would like to know since I would love to learn the facets behind level selection and whatnot. Also would a 100% be viable in this game due to the elemental whips. Heart containers etc? I have yet to find anything of the sort... perhaps its a whole new game to explore... any feedback is appreciated and hello again!

LoI was done as a race during SGDQ 2012. Though I also recommend watching the run here on SDA and reading the comments by Dragondarch.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. Do you believe that comparitively to Leon a Pumpkin run be open for any% or 100%?

Dragondarch's comments added alot as to why the route choices with the jewel crush! I apologize if it seems ive got a million questions, I just want to see what is obtainable or experimented with. I wonder if there is any other spots you could item dupe while in the castle and if it would save any time...

Man a Pumpkin race does look like a lot of fun! Also wise choice going Dark Palace for the pumpkin dash. It really helped cut down your garden times.
