You must be thinking of the TAS
I am pretty sure there is one up on SDA right now.

Hmm, forgot about the new one.

I'll offer $20 to anyone who improves my Dr. Mario 64 classic mode run and does it without losing on any level.  (Sorry it's not more--I'm a poor college student.)

I've decided I'll gladly add Gamer_2.2's $1 bounty to the list, because the sentiment is at least as important as the cash.

but I'm still not gonna add the one-penny Dark Castle bounty ...

As for the 5:00 SMB1,

Does everybody remember how people were saying the 5:06 run was the most perfect run on SDA?  That level of perfection or more, plus a wall-jump ... people will be talking about andrewg's 5:00 for a long time, that is if he doesn't manage sub-5.

somebody should check into that

Okay, talk is going around about Atari 2600 speedruns, and you can tell by my quote that I'm interested; I have completed 2 speedruns for Pitfall II that are currently looking for verifiers (but don't say it if you plan to verify, per SDA rules) ...

I want Adventure.  I am offering $50 to the person who has an Adventure Medium or Hard Mode speedrun up on SDA exactly a month after the first one is accepted, $30 to the first person who gets an Adventure Hard Mode speedrun up (only if it's not the same person), and $20 to anyone else who produces a good Medium or Hard Mode run by about the same time.

In other words, assuming only one person works on it, I'm offering $50 for an Adventure speedrun, to be paid a month after it's accepted to SDA.

The Flash version of Adventure I found

http://www.simmphonic.com/programming/adventure.htm

only has easy mode as far as I can tell, and Psonar told me Hard mode has a heck of a lot more to it ...

I WANT MY ADVENTURE!

btw I never had an Atari 2600 Sad

edit: Anybody want to see Adventure in action?
YouTube videos:
Easy Mode speedrun
my video (not a speedrun)

edit: There are rumors of a new katamari game being developed.  My bounty for the Katamari series will not cover the new game if there ever is one, at very least not right away.

I might try this. Although I dont have dr. mario64. Is it the same as the regular basically? I'm extremely good at that game.

The original doesn't have a timer like the 64 version does.  Also, the 64 version goes up to level 21, whereas the original only goes to level 20.  Level 21 was the one I lost on, and so that's why I added the part that they can't lose on any level.  I suppose if we could manually time both runs and go up to only level 20, then it would work.
About the bounty for A Link to the Past... There already is a sub 36 run by TSA that he has never sent in, as you "all" know, so that bounty shall be changed IMO.

I was wondering... If you managed to match the time with a PAL game (After timing calculation...) will that still count?
Hi! I'm andrewg!
so does the speed keep increasing after level 20? I can go on forever in the original on medium speed. well, I used to be able to.

I'm not sure what you mean.  I'm pretty sure the speeds are the same in the NES and N64 versions.  The main difference is that the highest level you can choose on the NES version is 20, whereas it's 21 on the N64 version.  That's why I went clear to level 21 on my run.

Oh, and I also used high speed for the entire run.
Hi! I'm andrewg!
Impressive. I can only get up to about level 15 high speed. I think. Maybe I'll have my mom do it.  Wink she's really good.

What is it with everyone's mom playing Dr. Mario?  There's mine, andrewg's, and stanski's that I know of... Wink
someone should ask your-mom if they play.

Bah, their comments on a run would destroy the grammar and syntax folk at SDA despite being promptly sent in with any video...

They aren't manly enough to play TSS.
As I understand it now, Adventure's hard mode randomly places all the objects.  If that is the case, then I am changing my bounty to $50 for medium or hard mode.  But you can't get $100 for running both Tongue

My mom (Mothereye?) played it a lot "back in the day", though she's not touched it in like 15 years or so.
Hi! I'm andrewg!
I'm pretty sure a lot of people's moms are good at dr. mario. It's instinctual.
Long live SF64!

Well, I originally made a topic about Adventure because my mom was good at it...
Ummmm ... could your mom use fifty bucks? Grin
