Hey I'm upping my age of empires bounty to 150$, the linked post is edited. I'd like to put 25$ bounties for these SNES games: Biker Mice From Mars, Tiny Toons Buster Busts Loose, Marvel War of the Gems, Congo's Caper, Bubsy, Cool Spot, Street Fighter II Turbo, Wild Guns, unlisted Mickey games for SNES. The runs must be accepted by SDA.
Good pick with War of the Gems. I considered running it myself but that game is just soooo slow I don't have the patience for it. Hopefully somebody will step up so I don't have to send it for the game exchange.
What you get A free copy of Dementium: The Ward for Nintendo DS.
What you need to do Play through Dementium: The Ward after you receive the game and volunteer to verify the run that was submitted FOREVER ago. Also, I'll need your address at some point. You also need to be someone who has been a member here for at least a little while; though, the specifics as to this are pretty much at my discretion.
Send me a PM if you are seriously interested in pursuing the bounty; I will send you a PM at some point letting you know if you were chosen or if I already chose someone else. If you do not follow through with the verification, we can come up with a remedy later (mail to someone else from your location; send back to me; send me the cash equivalent, or just the usual 'you get a black mark on your reputation around here' problem; etc.)
Look at it this way: you get a free game and all you need for verifying is to have some time to play through this obscure game. In case you are interested, my plan is just to buy the cheapest one I can find on Amazon or something ("Acceptable" condition or above) and mail it directly to you. I would play through it myself but I lack the time, and I don't even own a DS.

PAID verification bounty: Mortal Kombat Special Forces was verified (sadly, it was rejected, though Mortyre sounds like he is campaigning for reverification). In any case, the bounty has been completed. ZenicReverie claimed it.
$50 for a prince of persia: sands of time single-segment improvement that uses as many major shortcuts as the runner can pack in without the game crashing.
ucpro's segments have me inspired.
I'll be getting to this SS run after i finish the segmented run. I keep finding new shortcuts as i'm working on my current run and many will be used for SS. My hope is for a 1:4x:xx SS
this is going to seem wierd but... anyway... 10$ for any run with the file name "Rane" or "RANE". RANE is only allowed when lower case letters are not selectable (very few instances). 20$ for any run with the file name "Rane" or "RANE" that beats a current record.
If the game does NOT have a "file name" ala Zelda {easiest reference} then the Main Character needs to be named for this bounty to apply.
Stipulations: Has to be accepted, and I need to see the video.. (not necessarily a verifier, as I dont know every game) with proof of the name. If its a file name distinctly show the "clear" at the end if possible.
Reasons: As It was mentioned during the marathon the name "Rane" lives on infamy, and i dreaded seeing it on my ff4 (2us) run. There seems to be some level of horrible luck tied to the name, and this is why i generally do better at rpgs than most cause I learn to deal with the worst possible situation and come out on top.
Records of what the file name "Rane" has done. 1. Romscout tried "Rane" on an SMRPG attempt and had the worst luck. Every time he said (he streamed it) "Dont use <blank>" the game used <blank> or if it was not to hit one person it did. 2. Cyghfer on his attempts with "Rane" has run into problems where enemies some how 'stopped' and got him into combat which he reset from. 3. My SMT Nocturne Hard file took 13 deaths to get through the tutorial. Most people maybe die up to 3 times to get out of it on normal. I had 3 straight combats in a row where i was CRIT TO DEATH. <More records will be added as people try for the impossible>
Edit: TheQuietMan please if you can list this (with a link) entitling it as "Break the Rane* curse"
I got one for the list - "The Punisher" - For PS2 Normal or Hard difficulty Single Segment or Segmented (preferably segmented for faster) Top Score for every level. I'll pay £35 for medium difficulty.
Props to whomever went and downloaded Ares for Mac and offered to verify it. Now if only one of those top three games would move on from "has enough verifier" status.
I would like to offer $300 bounty for a 100% speedrun of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (as in game-defined, no unique jumps and stuff that doesn't count towards 100% in the menu). Only real requirement is that it gets submitted and posted on this site (SDA). Segmented or SS is up to the runner, through I strongly suggest the former for obvious reasons.
$100 for any of the following legit RTAs (not SDA timing, but otherwise following SDA guidelines for runs):
- Super Mario 64 16-Star: Sub 17 minutes (16:xx or better) - Super Mario 64 70-Star: Sub 53 minutes (52:xx or better) - Super Mario 64 120-Star: Sub 1hr 53 minutes (1:52:xx or better)
Another $100 for a new WR on any of the above categories. I believe the current records are:
I'm aware that there are existing Japanese runs that are within the guidelines for bounties, but I'm offering these bounties as incentive for our community to offer them a little competition, so any new run eligible for SDA submission qualifies. Also, to kick things off, it seems undisputed that Jiano qualifies for these bounties:
So, as the original person offering the bounty may no longer offer it or be aware that it has been done, I'll be attempting to contact Jiano to make sure he receives the bounty he's due for the run. For the sake of having a deadline for all these, I'll set one of year-end 2011. Gogo Mario!
I am new here so I was wondering if the Sub in - Super Mario 64 16-Star: Sub 17 minutes (16:xx or better) meant anything important?
