Cash bounties for speedruns [locked]

The only thing I know to do is PM him, and I'm sure you already tried that. Give him a few days; he might respond.

That's why the rules say to get into contact with the one offering the bounty; if they're hard to contact now, they'll probably be hard to contact after you've earned the cash too.

$20 for anyone who can legitly prove that they can complete SM64 with one star, camcorder with the TV screen in full view will be required.

EDIT:

$100 for a 1 star speedrun, SS of course

EDIT_2: Changed again, I'll allow both a legit completion and speedrun catagory.

Is my information right, that game 3 is randomly generated, and 1 and 2 are not? Really, games 1 and 2 might be the best to speedrun, because I think in game 3 if you get really lucky you might not have to visit all the castles, or you might never have to meet the bat, etc etc.

Watching your videos I can see game 2 would require a 'with death abuse' and a 'without death abuse' category Smiley

I've been trying this just for some fun. Can you do the fast BLJs anywhere or does it have to be on stairs/lifts?

The Bowser 1 early trick has only been performed once iirc heavily due to luck, and DDD early without MIPs has never been done on a console, so expecting both in a run (or even a completion, for that matter) is a near impossibility, unless you like watching a a year-long movie.

Yeah, I kind of doubt anyone will manage anything less than 16 stars. There's a possibility, but could anyone really get through the door to the second bowser on a console?

To me, that'd qualify as a 100% run.

I honestly don't know if that's even possible. *sweatdrop* The various funds you'd need for it... I havent' gotten teh 5-star rank for funds even when I've arena abused. That's just terrifying... so S-rank, I'm not considering that. Wink

Well, it's probably not possible to get Farina and S-rank. Unless you forego promoting most of your units and use prepromos instead, although Pent, Harken, and Geitz do get really good stats, and Jaffar gets exp boost for being an assassin.

just so you know, saturn bomberman is now available on xboxlive arcade, if you make your run good enough it will be worth the purchase of the game as I'll give you money for a good run Tongue

Besides, the game is fantastic anyway and imo, the best bomberman you can get.

I'd like to offer this:

Game: Jagged Alliance 2

Goal: any% multi-segmented

Prize: $50

Offer by: Ewil

The run has to be completed within 2-3 hours max and cca 50 segments top, otherwise it would be boring. It can probably be done under one hour if you obsolete the Meduna town with lot of segments. I was thinking of doing this run on my own, but I don't have much free time. Best strategy would probably be to hire some good mercs at Omerta, travel across the whole island, visit Orta to get the rocket rifles and avoid all fighting in Meduna except the last sector. Hard to say whether the frontal attack or secret underground path would be faster/safer.

EDIT: Oh, and another game:

Game: The typing of the dead

Goal: any% SS

Prize: $30

Offer by: Ewil

Preferably with no continues=no deaths.

A certain person (you may know who) approached me in a PM about whether there's a bounty for Pokemon Gold single-segment. So, to go with the other one I'm already offering, Gold/Silver have a $50 price on their head, but I'll only give that one once even if some new category is discovered.

So ... if people end up doing a Red/Blue missingno glitch run, a Red/Blue legit pokemon run, a Gold/Silver run, and a Fire Red/Leaf Green run, all four of them single-segment, and all the runs make it to SDA, then I may end up forking $350 over total to see people play pokemon. But man, the work required to make all those SS runs would be unthinkable.

In case anyone didn't know, I'm pleased to say that one of those runs is nearing completion!

Why is there no date for most of the bounties.
Like the run have to be done before a special date.

Lets say I start practicing a run just for the bounty. MAybe it will take a couple of years. I can´t be sure that I will get the money when I´m done. Or the one who set the bounty coming in to the thread and say:
- Hey! Remove that price from me..

Anyhow. Some of the bountys is pretty useless. Some of them are really good. I will do a bounty one day too Smiley
