Only note I'd add Thrillness is that I needed to set the delay for streaming to 1533ms to get it to synch properly. Took loads of messing around to get it but that's what it was for me. Not sure why it'd differ mind.

It'll be interesting to see how my PAL Wii over component is handled by the Elgato. Should be an interesting test!

So I got a beta driver from AVerMedia to see if the Version E cards can be salvaged and the news isn't good. I thought I had something messed up but nope.

What would be considered good Component capture (PEXHDCAP/Elgato): http://i.imgur.com/svG89wM.png
Old AVer driver (small color shift and a tad dark): http://i.imgur.com/xz4yMCS.png
The beta driver (this is default): http://i.imgur.com/rvw212W.png

Is that a typo? The ROXIO Game Capture seems to be component only, not composite.
Bomb...... Bomber...... Bombest
The model I have only uses RBG input.
HELLO!
If by "RGB" You mean YPbPr, that's component.

I've just ordered this to see how it upscales composite (NOT component) to 720p/1080p. Apparently 240p looks better than 480i/p content.

For £15 it wasn't much to test with a few consoles I have. Will post the results in here.

If anyone still cares about Easycaps:

Device make and model: STK1160+GM7113+ALC101 (Easycap)
Inputs: Composite, S-Video
Type: USB Device

Price: $12 USD
Compatibility: NTSC, probably PAL
240p-capable: Yes
Issues: None as far I've used it.
Recommend: If you only want a basic device without any expectation of sophisticated features, yes.

Comments: Link to buy (AliExpress): http://tinyurl.com/jorul6u
Easycap sellers on AliExpress tend to be very descriptive about the chips their devices contain. This device specifically has working S-Video which looks very nice for the price and has high quality audio capture due to the ALC101 chip on-board. Perhaps if anyone is looking for a cheap SD capture device and doesn't want to buy a vague Easycap from eBay or Amazon, buying from AliExpress (and this device specifically) would be a much better way to guarantee you're getting what you want.

Here's a sample clip of the S-Video capture from the device. I was very pleasantly surprised by this: http://tinyurl.com/hruxfu6
No clip of composite capture, but it's not nice. Probably as expected. The S-Video on this board is what really makes it shine.
great find. too bad noriko doesn't work under the latest os x and i have no idea how to fix it. i think it may still work under windows though.
