Right, obviously a real venue would be better. I don't want potential weirdos in my mom's house just as much as nobody wants to go to some potential weirdo's house. I'm just saying as like a fallback or last resort or something we could go that route. Maybe we could even just pick a date, knowing the backup exists in case nothing else can be set up.
I'm down, but I can't really afford a trip to Toronto.  Maybe a few if the Alberta people could do a small separate thing? I dunno.

If I even thought it was possible to get something to work out in Winnipeg, I'd offer that as a suggestion... not because I live here... but it is Central enough. And we'd have to do it in the middle of Winter, wearing shorts and t-shirts outside when it's -40C and do the Ice Bucket Challenge and act like it was nothing. [That way if ANYONE EVER Complains about how cold it is, we show them a video of that and us acting non-chalant, instant shut-up... especially when we can say "And we raised xxxx for xxxx charity too!]

I dunno, one can dream.

I get 1 week of vacation a week and a very tight budget... x.x;;

In regards to helping out with CSA:

I am not a very good organizer, but I am pretty good at following directions when need be.  Just give me something to do and I'll do it.
update on OP.  Take a look, also even if you can't make it, please help out and give us a mention to other runners who might attend or are thinking about it :3
I could definitely show up and do a run or two. I'm not sure how much I could do on the tech side (I'm much more software than hardware) but I could certainly help.
I'm down to show up and play some games on stream.
If it ends up being on the 2nd week of April I am 99.9% sure I will not make it. Sad

Anyways, just wondering what kind of venue you would like for the marathon (hotel, university, convention center, etc.) I'll look around for something, but I need to know what you guys want.
