So I've been playing in cheatengine to find a memory address that could somehow automate removing loads. I've found

Borderlands2.exe+1ED5170


I've tested it over reboots and application re-launches and it seems to stick to doing the same thing; It is =0 when not loading and =1 when a loading card is up

I can barely work this program so probably best left to someone else to work this in to some sort of timer auto-pausing script

You are 100% able to move during loading, you can walk a few steps forward or even manage some freaky double jump stuff.  You'll have to figure out where this occurs for you when timing.

Additionally, after the doubts brought op about the save file. I really don't think they should be used.
If these doubts were proven to be unfounded. I would still be against it. Skipping the first RNG encounter in the the game to "reset less" is a laughable reason to do so. 


hey broman i was wandering when can you start moving? is it during loading or while the portal animation is going cause if timing is going to be without loads in the future you can just cut loads but include the portal or "spawn" animation cause they are all the same time for everyone
it is when the loading screen with the hint is still up so the timing isn't that simple

oh i guess another question is is the moving and jumping in a sort of transition period where it still shows the loading screen but its technically done loading? i know some games take a set period of time to change from loading to the other. but if this is so and everyone can move the same distance as everyone else then loads could be removed cause everyone can only move a set distance. but on the other hand if its during the entire loading time then someone gets like 10 extra seconds to move duo to bad loading times then they would be able to walk further so i guess the question is are the distances you can walk roughly the same or no?

just have a question for you Funcannon just so we are all on the same page on timing loads. how are you timing yours?
Timing them from the first frame the load starts, until around where the item on the screen stops spinning. (That's pretty much when the sound effect starts so that should be where the actual loading stops)

PSA for the Borderlands 2 speedrunners:

A recent steam update has brought a feature that allows you to disable certain DLC from a game.



What this means is that for any% runs you can start without the premiere club guns and vaulthunter's relic given that you have disabled mechromancer pack and premiere club from the DLC list. In addition, UVHM61 can be run on current patch if you disable the UVHM pack 2. It is also recommended that every runner disables the DLC areas for more optimal fast travels thumbsup
Anyone able to help figure out how to downgrade the game from 1.8.2 to 1.10? The readme says to make sure the game is 1.6 before running the patcher, but I'm not sure how to do that. Running the patcher to set it to 1.31 or 1.10 both fail. Can't even launch the game in offline mode. Tried directly replacing the files myself as well. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
Erebus the 1.6.0 method used to involve downgrading, starting the game in ONLINE mode until it crashed and then playing it in offline mode from that point (guessing something got downloaded on first startup) however I'm not sure with version 1.8.2
That did the trick, thanks. Confused as to why the patcher says to automatically start it in offline mode first, but oh well. Thanks again.

By the way, in case anybody isn't aware, penta and I recently figured out (or we think that we did) how the spawns in the area of beacon work.
We think that you have to kill them in the order that they drop down in order to not softlock the game (or whatever you want to call it).  It's worked pretty much every time that I've tried it, so speed MAY still be a factor, but I'm unsure at the moment.
