I am going to start practicing this. I am pretty pumped for it. I've put countless hours into BL2 and I didn't really think about speedrunning it until I recently started looking for a game to speedrun. It is sad to see that there is only a relatively small number of runners.

I had a thought yesterday which turned out to be right if you are reaching the end of the turrets spawn and you for some reason only threw one then ran away (gate in southern shelf on route to flynt maybe) you can throw the second turret just before the first despawns and get a "kill"

This is the Lascaux that i use on all my Speedrun characters has the highest fire rate 8.0 and has an accuracy of 90 so imo its good all around

Do you have to be under Bloodwing for it to work? If it turns out that you have to be under bloodwing for it to work, wouldn't it make more sense that the player hitbox overlapping bloodwings hitbox might be causing the strange behaviour? Or the weird positioning?
If Bloodwing is really considering the player to be off the map, then it shouldn't matter where on the level you fought Bloodwing on?

But this gave me an idea, has anyone tried to do the early exit on Bloodwing during the fight? I'm expecting it'll softlock or just reset, I'm new here so I haven't had the chance to read through the 38 pages yet.

Saving and quitting--and more than likely exiting early as well--during the Bloodwing fight will set her to the start of her fire phase, flying around as usual. Attacking her while outside the arena will not cause her to fly outside of her normal range nor will she attack. Yes. I'm thinking Bloodwing's AI thinks you're inside her. Since the arena is flat with the exception of some short boxes, it likely uses only your x-y position to determine your position both relative to the arena and to Bloodwing. This becomes especially apparent under two circumstances: leaving the arena by dying or by saving and quitting, which her movement AI to continue as normal and pause (or possibly reset?) her attack AI is paused until you return to the arena, and when you are directly beneath her while she isn't moving--where there is roughly zero distance between your x-y position and Bloodwing's x-y position and neither of you are moving.

The second case is the new trick that causes her to stay in place until she dies. Her attack AI is waiting for either you or Bloodwing to move while her movement AI is *also* waiting for you to move. During a normal fight, this wouldn't be a problem as the player is too far at the start of a phase to confuse the movement AI, and when the player is directly below her she's already moving. Standing under Bloodwing causes a division by zero and/or an AI loop. Tongue
