What Judgy said. Gearbox has a way of injecting code into the game, not via patches, but via so-called hotfixes. At some point in the Gearbox loot hunt thingie, they added a hotfix that makes the game crash. These hotfixes are downloaded from the internet in while the game is running (and after the "press any key to continue"/"press start" screen appears), hence the crash after a few seconds. Playing in offline mode fixes this for obvious reasons.

HELL YEAH!!!

Getting closer to that sub 2hour. UVHM Maya in 2:06:59 IGT.

Legendary class mod with +45% movement speed while phase locking. Great Cat class mod. Equipment RNG couldn't be better. Unfortunately Bunker trolled me and I lost 1min30sec there.

And btw, killed Warrior with 3 cycle, it was almost a 2 cycle. I can say that all those things were possible not only because of the Legendary class mod but also because my Lascaux choice change, I was using a Stopping prefix on my previous runs, and on this one I used a Flying Lascaux.

Damage isn't really the only thing to look for, the fire rate and bullet speed of the Flying Lascaux out-dps the Stopping. Thx Omega you made me notice that on your streams.

O.K i was having a think earlier and wondered if Weapon specific bonuses from class mods could be passed to other weapons and they can.

What do i mean!? : in the video below I crit swap 2 snipers to give me added crit % i then shoot the bandit WITH A LASCAUX!!! for 242 damage as a crit (a low crit) I then use my Sniper class mod to Add more SNIPER WEAPON DAMAGE and SNIPER CRIT DAMAGE my LASCAUX!!! now does 252 Crit (low) and 279 Crit (high)

Basically by merging weapons you can gain Class mod bonuses for other weapon types.

Edit: I believe that Omega was going to do some testing with this I don't happen to know enough about various kinds of class mod to do any serious testing, would love to get feedback from you folks tho Smiley

From what I've understood, critical hit dmg bonuses are global.

So, any classmods that give +%critdmg (regardless the weapon which it is attached) will work on any weapon.

Also, any %Gundmg(attached to a specifc weapon or classmod attached to a specfic weapon) don't get transffered to other weapons

The tests were done without skills points expended and 3 crit swaps

On the cases with no crit swaps I took all snipers from my slots

It looks like the only one affected by this discovery is Zero. Now instead of only looking for team crit dmg classmods we need to also look for the critical dmg on sniper class mods.

i already messahed judgy about this but on my keyboard i have 6 programmable keys. i can progam these keys to scroll up/down. if i were to set the fire button to mouse scrolling and use the programmable keys to fire (basically the same as mouse scrolling, just easier) would that be against the rules in a run?

yeah basically, I replied on skype earlier but i will put the reason here as well in case others have been wondering the same:

generally if it cannot be done within the confines of the game itself its not allowed for an SDA submittable run, you can set it to be only scroll up or only scroll down but not both, however, using just one is quick enough anyway. [if you don't believe me try it yourself or watch Omegadude do it (it's damn fast) and using one direction reaches the maximum shots per second programmed into the shotguns anyway ]

It could be set that 2 buttons do this by modifying a certain .ini file in your games configuration settings, however, because again this is not within the confines of the game itself It's Modding

Hey guys, I noticed 2 more good reasons of using version 1.4 for UVHM runs (using UVHM level 61 instead of 72). These 2 fixes were implemented on patch 1.6:

- Rarity of loot drop rates have been increased for enemies level 61 and above.
- Enemy health regen in Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode increased for enemies level 61 and above.

Just reminding, Siren res glitch was not fixed on 1.4.

Question : Can DLC locations be used in NewGame w/DLC runs?

Answer : NO

Reason : When NewGame w/DLC was introduced as a category it was widely agreed that the only DLC that was allowed to be used was Character DLC.

what we mean by this is that Location DLC such as Tiny Tina's is additional content is extrinsic to that of the core game, you might be thinking that the gear box weapons are not Part of the original CORE game, and you would be right, however, by buying the character DLC for either Gaige OR Krieg you gain access to these weapons making them usable for NG w/DLC, however, when you buy Gaige or Krieg you don't not gain access to additional locations which is why we do not allow DLC hopping.

Even in the case of GOTY edition this is still true even though the content is an all-in-one package we still treat core game files and DLC's as separate entities

Dunno if we want to start making this a thing or what, maybe scale down to blues (still felt a little 'easy' for a while with purples, but that changed towards end game), but I feel like we need a category for OP8. Thoughts?
