I made an ingame timer component for livesplit: http://abahbob.com/livesplit/LiveSplit.BL2IGT.dll. I do not know how accurate it is as compared to manual timing, but it should be pretty close. It comes loaded with the pointer for 1.1.0, any other versions will need a different pointer.
@Abahbob I'm interested in testing that component but in Livesplit 1.4 it doesn't seem to add anything to my layout at all when I load it. Am I missing something obvious? I placed it in the livesplit folder and it popped up in the component list.

CryZe also added it to Livesplit, so if you are editing splits you'll see that load removal is available. You can just hit activate and it's done.
Is there a way to display both times, like with Fatalis' components ?

I can't say whether or not it will be approved, but you can always switch between IGT and real time at the end of your vod.
From what I can tell the component works great.

I've made an experimental script for LiveSplit (see the v1.1.0 directory), it's for BL2 newgame (Gaige). The script auto-reset, start and pauses the timer during loading screens and splits automatically.

How to use:
- Use the provided layout (split names are important).
- You may remove splits you don't need (but not rename them).
- You may remove the "real time" timer if you don't want it, or add others elements (that aren't splits).
- Download the .asl file as well
- Edit layout, double click "scriptable auto splitter", choose the asl file
- Livesplit 1.5.2 has a bug, if you have that version you will need the fixed "dll" and put it in the "components" folder of livesplit.

This is a work in progress and more splits can be added if needed, just let me know. The script seems to work, but more testing is needed; let me know if you try it.

sorry to intrude, however I seem to be having trouble getting the patcher to get 1.31 to work, i can get 1.1 but i was really looking forward to trying with krieg. I run the verify integrity check, switch to offline mode, then run the patch from 1.60 to 1.31 and it completes successfully.
I then tried running from steam and the exe in the folder (both launcher and the borderlands 2) and neither of them seem to work. so what should i do? Keep re-patching and hope it works? currently i have been able to start the laucher from the launcher.exe but it does nothing afterwards, if i run it from steam it tries to download some things but fails, because offline.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
Patch 1.3.1 doesn't have krieg in it, it was the original patch the game was run on for gaige before the discovery of the buck up glitch; the version is a bit more stable than 1.1 so technically it might be better for the other categories. Krieg is typically run on current patch because patches 1.4 -> 1.8 don't do any bug fixes that affect the run
Ah thank you PeachWaldo, though i would have to say the buck up glitch might be a red herring, it only saves you so much time as you would have lost in second wind mode.  and while that does slow you down i think it might not be worth it anyway, especially when you consider the high chances of soft locking, of which i had 2 or three of. It seems that it is random to when it decides not to try and download because after attempting back to 1.1 it pulled the same shenanigans. (trying to download, but am in offline)

Also i don't know if everyone knows this but the evil smasher glitch as 1.1 at least seems a bit ... off, it doesn't stack like one expects it to as far as i see it.  I think the best i ever got was my 2 shot jacobs up to 200+ but basically wait for the evil smasher to lag alot, switch to the normal weapon wait til its fully out, then continue evil smashing, the spread i like is 96, 151 then over 200, it takes considerably less time and it does absurd amounts of damage. (tested a level 10 infinity vs teramorphis and he was down in 20 seconds with no merging)

pretty simple to follow:



Gaige needs to make sure Axton has passed through the building with the other New-U before tagging the Bloodwing one (or at least re-tag it after) after using the door axton kills himself  (so does the mechro who then uses the elevator down) and respawns.

Axton then works his way backwards and falls through the floor or the holding cells area so to trigger the objective correctly, Axton then grabs the feather and kills himself and bam! ready to fight.

3 and 4 player works much the same however more people may need to help injure the loaders to help this progress quicker.
Borderlands 2 Glitch Hunter/ router.
O.K so in my spare time over the past .... 2 years ... I was doing a segmented run of BL2 using Zer0 however, I've decided it's not to be and I've cancelled its completion due to my segmented time being only 6 minutes faster than TFC's current any% Zero when comparing the times we reach Sawtooth.

Major reason for my shitty time is my start which was done literally 2 years ago and can't hold up against the current version of this category. Other reasons include slow down is actually caused by Farming for particular items instead of running just on-the-fly with whatever you happen to get.

Anyways, boo-hoo and all that shit, I figured that I would share some of the stuff I have found along the way.

Bunker OoB strat (Rocket launchers or Close enough)
This is good because basically NOTHING will jump up here and you can quickly get Line of sight on all but 1 Cannon.
Also in this I show a 1 grenade version of getting onto the rim.


Bunker segmented Strat
This should only be used for segmented bunker really where you are concerned about saving seconds on this segment. one shot him (he is more susceptible to B0re from underneath if iI'm stood on the ground I can b0re him 100% of the time.
If you run over to the yellow boxes you can grab more grenades and wait for him to be in position (he's not damageable until he's fully stopped)
The grenade jump at the end just pushes you over to the drop quicker.


Fast Fast Travel Exit
Simple really stand on the top part and throw a grenade use the fast travel then exit instantly and grenade boost away.

Optimal Movement in Sanctuary (Segmented)
Two simple Nade jumps the second grenade is thrown while still in the air to get the correct timing also hitting the edge of the curb is a requirement to make the grenade bounce towards the doorway.


Ladder boosting (Segmented or SS)
Throwing a grenade at the bottom of this ladder will throw you up on top of the awning (you are technically flying while on the ladder which the game reads as you being part way through a jump so you get detached and boosted off the top)


Tundra Early Exit (Solo) w/ 2 Grenades !!! [No Double Nade Jump]
First bit was me hitting a fire thingy with a nade to set it off ... Just randomly in there ... can't remember why.
Second part shows that time can be saved by doing the Nade jump up to the exit early even on Single player runs It's mostly a case of throwing the second grenade in the right place so it doesn't have its blast eaten by objects around you then you need to sideways jump up and away from the warp to be able to use it.
Note: You need to run forward to the radius of the new-u station before you S+Q (IF you need to S+Q at all, sometimes the game will just tick off the objective anyway.)

I might compile what I have done as maybe a "guideline" route however much of it is outdated methods so you have to take it for what merits it does have haha... but yeah I might.
