First we will have to see how hard/easy will be the next level cap. Then I suggest to make a thread about UVHM in the SDA Discussion board.

We need PoVs of people that are not familiar to the game but familiar to speedruns tho.
I think we should make a skype call or something like that about one week after the new cap comes out.

Some good weapons will be needed for the final stage of "Over Level" since in the final stage you'll be facing level 80+ enemies. But it depends on how the scaling will be done.

Broman requested me to explain my Southern Shelf route that gets 4 level-up bonuses for boom bewm so here's a video that shows the route and I attempt to explain it as I go

This route SHOULD be consistent, I have not failed it once when I have done the route following these notes even though there should be at least some kind of RNG regarding the enemy levels
Here are the differences to the standard route written down:
1. Clear the bullymong area before knuckledragger completely before claptrap falls down
2. Shoot down all the rakks while claptrap and hammerlock chat about clearing out the bandits from the berg
3. Don't kill any bullymongs in the graveyard or the pond
4. Wait for the quest trigger to change before killing anything
5. IMPORTANT! When claptrap lowers the bridge to Boom Bewm, let ONE (1) of the suicide psychos blow himself up, this way you get precisely the correct amount of xp finishing the fight
6. Don't kill the psychos during the Boom Bewm fight and be careful not to blow them up with the cannon
7. Don't kill anything when going for the next Boom Bewm kills, there is some room to kill enemies but I haven't gotten around to it
8. Move on when you are over 7,5 levels

Another thing which I noticed when recording that video is the easy mode on Flynt, get on his platform before he spawns and just shoot him while rotating around him so you are aiming at his back at all times.
This seemed to have caused an AI loop where flynt just really wants to look at you before jumping down from the platform, making him an easy kill.
I'm not guaranteeing that this works all the time as it was the first time I saw it happen.

@Peach, the flynt thing is an AI loop in which he's trying to smash you with his hammer to knock you back, if someone in a 4p run were to damage him there's a chance he'll jump down. Another possible reason is that Flynt is agro'ing Deathtrap and then gaige repeatedly due to the various damage outputs or whatever.

In other news, testing grenade jump efficiency is slowly becoming a thing. In advance, I'm sorry, lol. Let's just say walls are important and you'll rarely be utilizing the ground to maximize sprint time. So far the optimizations that i've implemented in my route alone (and i'm pretty terrible right now) has saved around 10-13s by cutting all the corners. I won't have highlights of these until i'm 100% sure of their results.

@AngryPanda it is more than likely him trying to smash the player and I doubt it will be useful to 4-player. It more than likely has nothing to do with deathtrap as I was able to replicate the loop on Zero and Krieg when playing around with it. Oh and just a heads up if you are planning on doing the trick on solo, don't stand in the middle of his platform as it will make flynt spawn on his throne instead of the platform from where he won't jump down unless you kill every enemy that spawns during the fight (I've had this happen once, him jumping down after the last enemy kill might've just been bad luck)

It could very easily be both scenarios actually since one is inclusive of the other. Assuming this loop was just simply him trying to smash players, they could all just sit up there and run around him, the actual # of players wouldn't matter so long as the proximity they are at around/from flynt remained within the AI's battle set. You shouldn't be so quick to dismiss possible AI patterns, that's how things don't get tested properly, especially when it comes to 4p.

The throne thing is an old bug caused by something blocking the place he lands (like you standing in the middle of the platform). Luckily it doesn't noclip him through the ground like Bloodwing. Smiley

This is the last thing I'll do to contribute to the Borderlands 2 speedrunning community. Due to recent events I've decided that I will not be doing BL2 runs anymore.

These are UVHM strats. The 2 strats for Krieg are the most usefull ones.

Here's a link to the Kreig build I've used for my speedruns. I find this one to be the best one of the ones I've tried.

The most important part of the Krieg strats are "Fuel the Blood" where you kill an enemy with melee and it'll increase your grenade damage. When you have "BuzzAxe Bombadier" the buzzaxe when thrown will count as a grenade and it does massive damage when you have 80+ stacks of bloodlust.

The FireHawk strat can only be done on UVHM since the game knows that you've been in the area before. So you pretty much trick the game into thinking that you've activated the fast travel station in Frostburn Canyon.

I've had these strats for about a month. The Krieg ones for longer. I have my reasons for not showing them earlier and keeping away from every BL2 speedrun stream for over a month. I do not want the share why because it is very personal and that's the way it's gonna stay.

It was a mix of luck with bullshit, but definitely sub 3:20 is possible if the needed items appear with few tries.

I just beat the Zer0 PB few minutes ago playing as Axton. Got a 3:18:15 IGT

The gun luck was amazing but I'm mad as F***

Lost 2minutes on Bloodwing and 4:30 minutes on Saturn. It should be a 3:12:00 or less if I wasn't so bad.

I'll take a break from this I guess. I'm so pissed right now.

The fastest character for a NG run is Gaige. However since she is a DLC character and she is a lot faster than the others, she has been moved to a different category from the rest, the NG w/DLC category. For the NG category without DLC the fastest character currently is Axton but Zer0 isn't all that far away from him in terms of an optimal run with the current route.

I'll say my opinion about who's the fastest one, you guys can correct me if I'm wrong.

Considering both Axton and Zer0 with a very good shotgun (a quad like in my PB run) the difference between both on bunker is only about 3 minutes (time that I took killing bunker as Axton, Zer0 insta kills it).

Before the Bunker I think Axton has a better damage output due to his early gun damage bonuses and Zer0 only gets it right before bunker.

Also in the early as Zer0 game I have to do an extra Boom Bewm because of the lack of experience to reach level 10 in one go. Axton compensates that extra Boom with his turret killing enemies while you run triggers.

Later on, when Zer0 have his own gun damage bonuses, he has a higher damage output than Axton + the ability to sneak through the pump stations or Saturn for example.

Another important thing is that Zer0 can have a good class mod (Team critical damage bonus) while Axton doesnt have a damage class mod.

So, overall I think Zer0 is the fastest one in a NG run. He'll be my class choice for future runs.

Really starting to get back into actually running again..

Second proper run into this, would have got a sub 3:20 but lost anarchy to some BS at Boombringer, and had horrible shotgun luck.. I was at level 13 bushwack all the way through to eridium blight.

Ended up not being able to kill Warrior after losing 15 mins trying with a coach gun.

With some good gun luck, I think I might actually be able to push some competitive times soon Smiley
