Yeah, I'd was mainly thinking of doing the major skips and avoiding all the suicides but the run be challenging since there no actual mapped out places for some big cash since there will be lots of fighting deaths
From what I've collected so far (Not counting after Downtown Emporia and on-wards) The loading screens and autosaves when comparing the 360 version from the PS3 has a significant difference I'd say when coming to speed running this game.
From where i've gotten which was DT Emporia... I have saved literally a total of 1:56 from load times..
Following below is time saved on what I think the Major Load screens
Saved 10 seconds Loading Blue Ribbon after Factory skip Saved 11 seconds when loading up Battleship Bay for the first time Saved 6 seconds entering Soldiers Field for the first time Saved 5 second both entering and leaving Hall of Heroes Saved 15 second loading Fink's dock for the first time Saved 6 loading Fink's Proper Saved 5 loading The Factory Saved 10 loading both Emporia and DT Emporia and the rest were misc of either the game loading in certain places on the PS3 compare to the 360 not having to stop and load and also other minor load screens. Also The 360 don't take time to stop and load the scenery, unlike the PS3 so If you choose to run on console, I'd say Xbox since those load screens can save you up to at least 2-3min on runs. Go PC if you can though since Load times usually go way faster depending on your PC
I myself plan on switching from running this game on PS3 and moving over to the 360 just because of these times.
Update: I'll edit this post once I figure out an exact load screen time for the rest of the game. Note: My game was installed to the Hard Drive on the 360 so times could be different if not installed.
Won't be for awhile. I still have to get use to the 360 controls and feels. Also I have no runs without Season Pass so I defiantly have to get use to that
No single mistake cost more than 20 seconds in this run. There's still time to be saved, but nothing I would call a big fail. Some of the fights and minor tricks can be faster.
This was my first run with a microphone, I had the game voices a little too loud. You can still hear it alright.

Great run teliot. I've decided that I'd like to start speedrunning this game, so I've pretty much just been learning your run at the moment. Got the first half down pretty good now. I'm running it on Xbox 360 though, so don't expect me to beat your time. Hopefully once I've got your run down as a basis I'll start looking for new glitches/strategies.
Also don't worry we separated Console time and PC time due to differences but still like to race once in awhile. Good luck and hope to see some runs soon
Don't forget to add your Twitch Stream to the DOC so we all know who to follow!
Guess a few of you may know but I've also decided to pick up Infinite speedrunning (PC). PB setting at 2:31:17after only 2 runs so I'll be chipping away at this time for a while :3. I also have some ideas as to how to save time but I'm still working my way through the 29 pages of this thread to see what has and hasn't already been looked into. Hopefully I can provide a few ways to improve the route.
Anyways, I look forward to being a part of the Infinite Community :3!
After doing some testing with the prophets cabin skip timing, I found out the timing window is approximately 5ms at around 160 fps. That does make it a frame perfect trick. Maybe 2 frames at most.
I didn't know about the new jump trick teliot talked about in his WR run, which makes it much easier to get it down. Sadly, I still haven't found any other place to use that trick to our benefit =(.
That's some really interesting stuff, not sure how helpful it'll be, but still a lot of potential for a possible comstock gate skips. I'm still shifting through this thread to see what all has been found/discussed so excuse me if this has already been covered :3, when you say using cheats, is it similar to bioshock 1/2 where you can edit the user files to bind ghost/fly to keys or are you using an external program to help out?
New WR of 2:09:56.7. I saved a bunch of time over Teliot in places where I don't know what's different (first 23 minutes) and I lose a bunch of time in places where I don't know what's different (Soldier's Field through airship). All the major skips went well, and I got the graveyard skip to work.
I'll upload it to youtube later. I also recorded a video guide to factory, emporia, graveyard, and prophet's cabin skips after the run, which you can see near the end of the recording. I'll highlight that later as well; it's a bit informal.
I'm very pleased to have reached this goal using strategies that I discovered. Although my run is technically faster than Ferret's, his is probably "better". I only beat my PB because I saved 45 seconds during the factory skip, and the rest of the run was about the same or worse.
I think the reason Ferret was able to gain time on me in the past during the first 20 minutes of the game was because I was using too much strafing. Strafing slows you down because you cover a longer distance, and it might also slow down your sprinting.
Nice run man, and welcome Alex. Glad to see that you finally picked up BSI. I look forward to watching your streams and seeing how close you come to the record. :3 -Scoot
Nice run, very nice. I can't promise anything but I may be getting a new computer within the week or two and I plan on streaming attempts at the Console Record. I have had a few offline attempts fall short due to bad luck but we'll see how things go.
For some reason, there's again a glitch that gets weird on my computer : the prophet's cabin glitch. I don't know why but, contrary to the behavior I see in all the late WR runs, my computer starts loading the room way too late. In your videos, the loading starts as soon as you're in there, making it sometimes difficult to not get stuck somewhere. My computer loads the room around 1 sec after I'm in the cabin, which also means that anything I do, I always end up falling on the ground before it loads the inside of the cabin. There's absolutely no way I can end up on the staircase and reach the deck door for the next part of the skip.
Here's a little video to show my point :
Does anyone else experience this kind of issue or is it just me again ?

It's based off of how fast your computer can load the area. If you dont have a SSD or your computer isn't fast enough, it's not going to load the area in fast enough.
