I tried with the regular pistol and I must say that I get close to it almost every time so it really seems easier, though I still can't do it. Booker stays stuck and I can't move. If I try to jump again then I fall back down. This is so frustrating. My angle must be off somehow. By the way, is it a sprinting jump or a regular jump is enough ?

I personally use sprint + crouch jump to get stuck and then jump. Ferret said that he only uses sprint though, so I guess it's viable either way.

I've been able to get it at 30fps with the pistol. I've never gotten stuck to where I couldn't move, I'd either start gliding or just slide off.

I always get stuck, that's the best I can get right now.

hmm i never got stuck before like that. Maybe ur angle? Here is my technique: Line up with that gold notch, sprint jump towards gap and ADS at about the same time you make contact.

Ok thanks for the video systemofadown77. Got it a least once that way, even on ultra with low fps (around 40) . I indeed had a problem with my angle, but what I get mostly wrong is the timing for the zoom. I zoom way too soon, almost as I jump. When I got it, I zoomed in at the last moment. I need to get the timing right now.

I can confirm that this trick feels approximately 100 times easier with the pistol. And handily enough there's one right inside the gunshop. Glorious.

raising the stakes on being bad!

Hey guys I'm quite new here and was playing around with infinite and noticed that you can walk on the edge of airship, I figured you all might already know this but i wanted to post it just in case. I'm sorry but the cheesy screen shoots i play on console and don't have a good method of capturing video yet .

you can just walk off of the rails on to the side of the ship to get access to this gear w/o picking the lock saving time, not sure if it'll be any use, but i hope it'll help, maybe useful in a segmented run.

BTW this is at the finkton induction dock or something like that right after you get Elisabeth back.

I think it's 2:49:45 by Systemofadown77. Should be easily beatable with the Factory skip.

@trypepper we need more competition on console but my current pb is 2:30:45. it was a pretty bad run but did the factory skip.

I really need to work my strategies for battle. I did my first complete run tonight (couldn't record it but it's bad so it doesn't matter). I got 2:37:51, failed once the hall of heroes skip but got the factory skip almost right away. The final battle alone took me 7 minutes (lost a lot of time before realizing I couldn't use "possession" on the enemy on the first barge 'cause I didn't upgrade it).

How do you guys record your runs ? Using fraps just slows down my computer so much and the video quality is horrible.

Yeah I think pretty much everyone uses Xsplit or OBS to stream, which by extension serves as a recording.

Hey guys I got a question. I'm trying to speedrun this on Xbox (foolhardy goal I know) and I'm stuck with the part after you kill slate. At 45:38 on Parastream's channel, the three soilders run out the door and open it for him so he can run through the gate, but for me sometimes soilders don't appear or if they do, the door doesn't open. Deathwarping doesn't seem to work, so how can I get through that door?

You're overshooting the deathwarp to get past that door the first time. If you trigger the slate dialogue during that death warp, the door won't open. There is a specific area you need to land on in order to get that deathwarp to work properly.
