Cool. I am surprised it was a large enemy.

King Wabasami

I've had this happen a couple of times to other enemies as well.
Willing to teach you the impossible
Perhaps you spawned him on the left than ran far enough away from him
King Wabasami
That's possibly it. I'll try recreating it during my runs and try it with other enemies to see if thats the case.
King Wabasami
Just got 11:35

Sub 11:30 is possible, but you need a lot of luck and even lower is possible if I can ever get the god damn enemies to escape.
King Wabasami
I think I figured out how the escape mechanic works.
You need to get far enough away from the enemy in question before they spawn or right when they spawn.
Need to test this more to know for sure.
Speedrunner
This is my 11:04 Speedrun of this game on Normal
Speedrunner
And 10:40 is now possible for this game
Willing to teach you the impossible
What makes it possible?
Speedrunner
10:40 is possible because when start each level, be sure to equip a Defensive Suit because the C-Left move does the most damage than anything else in the game and it also makes Professor Drake's Lab super fast. Also in the options menu, you can change the sensitivity on the analog stick to fast and Batman goes so fast in the game. And you can use Invincibility tricks to go through places faster like in Arkham Asylum where the gargoyles spray gas, if you take damage and then jump at the edge you won't fall down because you're invincible and can't take damage. And also having really good movement makes 10:40 possible. My WR Speedrun of this game is 11:04 and it can use a lot of improvement
