I am thinking of doing a speed run of Baldur's gate 2. I played this game so much time i know everything about it...
(I am not sure if it is in the good section of the forum, but you never know until you tryed)
I see there is a baldurs gate 1 speed run and since I am very skilled in BG2 im am willing to give it a try.

Tips, sugestions, recording programs recommandation are very welcome.

This game took me loong to finish the boss is HARD only tip ive got is get all the best weapons eqeulizer,Halber,Crom Feyer,Kings three headed flail and the daystar also pit fiend the level 7 priest spell Anomen has helped me alot just make sure you`ve got protection

This game was really hard for me to get into =(.  THe begginning was slow and everyone kept on telling me after the beggining it gets funner but alas I couldn't make it.  I gave it 2-3 hours of my time at most.

Irenicus is easy as hell coz he likes to kill himself with his spells. Just get the cape that reflects spells from the shuaganin(sp?) city. Thats all.

well, since il have a sorcerer.. irenicus will be a piece of cake.. i just dispel all his protection, cast some spell and hes down..

But the pain in the ass will be to kill the green and shadow dragon (I don't have a choice i have to kill them).

But il just morph into (I don't know the name in english) a flayer. Probably use a scroll of Wish, use a potion of wisdom, stop the time and beat his ass while he's not moving.

Just remember, shapechanged project image can attack. Chain Contingency(3 x Project Image at helpless) + Project Image + Stoneskin + Improved Invisibility + Improved Haste + Shapechage + Tenser's Transformation = 4 mindflayers gods.

I have played through both BG2 and Throne of Bhaal with a solo sorcerer, and although I don't know if it will work in a speedrun I always found it very effective to summon some greater skeletons and casting improved haste on them. Remember that they have 90+% magic resistance so they're extremely effective against magic users.

so,what's your target time? and do you already have a to-do quest list? i thought long but couldn't find any nice ways through game that would give much xp in short time... i suck in it anyway. good luck!

The sphere qeust give 20,000 xp points but you have to be able to do it fast

i never tryed to speed run it before, but my target time would be.... much less then 5 hours.
