Hey there all! Question for any mods or any runners if you don't mind - are gane devs allowed to speedrun or submit runs? I've wanted to maybe try my hand and become part of the community here but did not know if there might be specific rules about that. Thank you so much for your time, consideration, and help!

Take care!
Thread title:
I guess you mean can you run your own game? There's no rules against that so long as the game isn't totally shabby. Of course you have to provide the version of the game you're running to everyone.

Andreas Romar, the guy who made Iji, also did a speedrun or two for it actually.

What are you planning on running?

Hey there Lotblind! Thank you for your response back! I guess my question was kind of twofold. One being yeah can I run a game that I had worked on (which was Call of Duty Infinite Warfare which I tested the singleplayer for) and then secondly I didn't know if there was a problem or rule for game devs being allowed to or not in general haha... There're other games too that I'd love to run (not ones I've worked on, just in general) like Bioshock for example.

Thank you again!
Personally, if I have tested some game and know about secret speedrun tech, I'd probably wait until others have found those tricks. Especially if I'm the one who suggested leaving them in!

Oh no I'm not talking about any kind of secret speedrunning tech just to be clear. Honestly I dont know of any haha. It'd be progressing naturally. But thank you for your insight!
