Verification Files

http://v.speeddemosarchive.com/ArcomageDestruction-v_HQ.mp4

Please refer to the Verification Guidelines before posting. Verifications are due by June 12, 2013.

Please post your opinions about the run and be certain to conclude your post with a verdict (Accept/Reject). This is not a contest where the majority wins - I will judge each verification on its content. Please keep your verification brief unless you have a good reason otherwise.

After 2 weeks I will read all of the verifications and move this thread to the main verification board and post my verdict.

Arcomage.  Hard to believe that I would know about this game since I've seen Lag.com's 20 second run seveal times over.  with that said, it is nice to know that he is working on improving an already impressive run.

With that said though, we get to watch Lag.com's ENTIRE ATTEMPT to beat his original time.  I know the final product will obviously crop the best attempt, but here's the thing...

WHERE'S THE RUN?!  I just watched almost four minutes of attempts, and the best I saw was only one win that was achieved in 44 seconds.  Either Lag.com submitted the wrong video, accidently cut out the actual run, or completely forget that he has a better run already on the site.

I don't wish to be rude, but an explanation is needed here.

Reject.

Edit: Thank you UA.

Downloaded the raw file that Lag sent in and it's the same length, but VirtualDub wanted to reconstruct the index, which is usually a bad sign. Probably a case of the wrong file? But yeah, put this on hold until we get it figured out I suppose.

Fixed file should be up.

Cards match what he said in his comments, timer says 0:14, what else is there to say? Looks good to me. Ship it.
HELLO!
Nice to have a cooperative computer AI, eh?

accept.

There we go.  Accept.

...

In fact, do we really need to wait two weeks for a 14 second run?  I know that is the time limit for any runs in public verification, but I would think that if a run is literally this short, maybe two weeks might be slightly overkill.

Edit after UA's Post: Fair enough.  Just a simple observation, but if there are runs in the waiting, then I don't see any problems waiting.  Hopefully the "other" runs waiting to get posted in the public verification will be posted in due time.

If the post-verification queue was non-existent I'd agree with you but there's a couple weeks worth of runs to burn through anyway so it probably won't make much difference.

Flip is free to change his mind, of course.

So there is some slight hesitation with moving the mouse cursor at the point where he plays the Moody Goblins card which costs about a second in real time. Other than that, manipulation of playing the cards was fine.

On the same token however, this is a run of a card game in which I'm going to assume that is programmed to be random on what cards are dealt to both players at the start of the game. 14 seconds demonstrates playing until he got a computer AI that would cooperate in allowing him to win faster. In all its a well executed run and it looks dang impressive.

Might be magic...
I wish all my Arcomage games in Might and Magic 7 went that well.

Accept
A/V is looking stellar and a run in 14 seconds, what can I say other then that is probably the time one turn takes me.

Accept
A/V good, no cheating detected.

30% improvement to a very short run (20 seconds down to 14).  Accept
