Hi my name is WouJy

Here I make a Speedrun on arcade games (I prefer the arcade versions)
and wondering if the arcade was considered an old console / system
and how I can make to post my run? (I think I get lost on the site and then as I started English ... :-\).

Here I would like to have some assistance and they can answer my questions, thank you

Runs made on emulators are not accepted by SDA, UNLESS the emulator is packaged together with a legit re-release of the game (Like Wii Virtual Console), but then the run MUST be made on that version.
But you are not required to submit your runs to SDA, so you can still make speedruns using emulators and no one will stop you, they will just not be submittable.

If you want to submit a speedrun of an Arcade game that has not been re-released on another console, you have to record from an actual Arcade cabinet, this is the main reason to why there are so few Arcade runs on SDA

Actually, you won't be able to record from the cabinet itself unless you somehow modded it to have some direct video feed.  That is, a camcorder pointed at the cab won't be submittable from what I remember.  The way to record arcade games is to use a supergun (basically a consolized version of an arcade cabinet with direct video/audio output).  There are a few of us looking into getting a supergun to record arcade speed runs, but right now they're not very commonly available.

But yea, if you're just looking to do a run for yourself and not submit to SDA, feel free to use emulator!  There's nothing wrong with that.  Or like Warepire said, if there's an official release/port of the game you are free to use that and submit with that.
Thanks

So if i want to post my run i must go on Tasvideo.org  ?
Yes there's a console release of the games, i must go on this version Smiley

Thanks for the answers :p
You can't post your run on TASvideos unless it's actually a TAS, unfortunately. Sad

You can, however, record a speedrun on either the console version or emulator. If you record it on emulator, you can still claim WR, you just can't submit it to SDA. Make sense?
Ok.... Sad
I'll forget the idea of doing speedrun ...
Too much stress etc ...

Although I was proud to be that I had :/

You can use the Wii or WiiU Virtual Console Version of the games that they posted in the Arcade system section.
