While Louisiana is kinda scarce on runners, there are a lot in Arkansas, Texas, and Florida. New Orleans is a great city with a lot of fun to be had, and the meetup would focus on strengthening the community in this part of the country, while showcasing our various runs for each other. Date is entirely flexible. While my marathon plans are nonexistent for the year, a lot of people will be at RPGLB and SGDQ, so it'd probably have to be in Spring or Fall.

I'm getting one in Dallas in April, which is about a 4 or 5 hour drive (?) from Louisiana. I don't know about anything more local, which is probably what this thread is for.

Plano is 7 hours from me. And while I do want to go to yours, I would have to look at the costs. My truck isn't great for long distance and I can't afford to fly again so soon after AGDQ. Unless I carpooled with another Louisianan or someone passing through the state, I wouldn't be able to make it. This is mostly to gauge interest in a small like, weekend meetup. Mostly to get cooked and play speedgames without having to worry about being PG13 for sponsors or anything like that.

I live in East Texas, so I can very likely make it as long as it doesn't conflict with the Dallas event and /maybe/ SGDQ.
