A speedrun of An Untitled Story that collects some form of 100% of items using a massive game breaking glitch.
By watching the final segment of the run, where this glitch is executed, you will know what i mean by
"some form of 100%". The game in the end does count this as a 100% completion in the statistics.
Played on the difficulty Regular.

The run can be viewed here:

Speedrun is far from optimized, i know i missed some tricks, but i decided to do all segments in my own way, like
i would do it myself. It is merely supposed to show off the glitch and thus provide some kind of entertainment.
Would people even accept this as a 100% run? I'd really like to know. And by the way, i do not think a lot of people
know this glitch. Did anyone else here know about it?

I also finally finished an acceptable Single Segment 100% run, non-glitched, on Simple. Been doing this
because Single Segment runs seem to be how most people run games nowadays. That run can be seen here:

Thread title:
Wasn't there some sort of wrong warp to the final boss found a little while ago? If you combined that with even more heart duping you'd get a pretty swift "100%" :>

I doubt it counts considering the game also keeps track of individual pickups. At best, it'd be a third category (fake 100% or something).

So the heart duping was known? Aw man, i am kinda disappointed now. Even if i search for it on google now, i find no video or anything about it.
So i thought it would be a surprise. Sad

I do know that on one of the oldest versions, version 1.00 or something it was possible to glitch your way to the final boss, but i have not heard about a way to do this
in newer versions.
Don't get me wrong, it's the first time I see it!

Looking back, I think you're right that that glitch was a 1.00 only glitch. Kind of a shame.

How viable do you think doing this route in RTA would be?

Ah, you said heart duping so condifently that i thought it would be known to you.

Do not know exactly what you mean by "this route". Assuming you mean an any% on Regular, then this is pretty much the only logical route i think,
because these 7 golden orbs are all that you can get without the Yellow Energy Boost Upgrade. I think, that in an any% on Regular i would do the exact same thing as i did here, minus the infinite health glitch. I'd also collect less hearts in general. I basically had 190 health here, although i actually never needed that much.
RTA means Real Time right? To be honest, i don't really give a crap about real time, considering that this game has a fully functional in-game timer (except for the dreaded timer glitch). To get a faster real time, you could try to minimize button pressons on the Save Point Warpings. Time spent on the Warping-Between-Savepoints-Screen is not added to the in-game timer. If i understood you wrong, let me know!
I just mean doing this fake-100% route singlesegmented. It'll suffer from worse RNG, I don't doubt, but it seems doable?

OK. I was confused because there is not really a route to this kind of run, because there aren't really any other options, i would not change anything. Even in a single segment speedrun.
Also, worse RNG? There is nothing random in this. The only random part in this run was in segment 12, where i played
Blackjack, the absolute highlight of the run lmao! But to be honest, this was done on purpose. If you actually collect all the crystals
from the bosses, you should avoid having to play Blackjack. You will lose some time collecting more crystals from the bosses,
but you will save time not playing Blackjack, so it should cancel out. Oh well, i just remembered ONE part: Nothing random about this except for playing Astrocrash.
You can lose up to 30 seconds here i believe, i simply do not understand how it works. Does the amount of Asteroids on screen
depend on your score or on time passed? Like, the longer the game of Astrocrash lasts, the more Asteroids are going to fall?
So yes. This is totally doable in a single segment run. Hell, a non glitched 100% single segment run (which i am working on btw!) is way harder!
