I'm trying to get going with AmarecTV so I can stream/capture together, and am getting the following error when I launch it using Line-In audio (looks like it works if I pick Dazzle audio or another audio source).  I've also attached a screenshot of my current settings - if anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it!

Thread title:
looks like the same settings I have, except I'm using 48k instead of 44.1k, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. How about the advanced settings tab?
Professional Second Banana
I use 44.1k as I've found that higher bitrates (especially 96k) sometimes causes my anri-chan encodes to have no sound when played back with Windows Media Player.

Here's my Line-In settings too - I've turned off Exclusive Mode for both Line-In and Stereo Mix, but I'm still getting the same error.  I can use Line-In audio just fine with VirtualDub, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with my sound card.

That's really strange. You have basically the same settings that I do, and the same sound card even, yet you are getting that error and I'm not. I can't really think of what might be causing it.

One difference is that I have both options under Exclusive Mode checked, maybe try that? Not really an educated guess on my part though.

Tried re-enabling Exclusive Mode and got the same error again.  Have also tried my old mainstay of Googling the error messages but didn't find much.

I guess next step will be to try another computer and see if I have any better luck.

Edit: Wondering if it has to do with my default playback/recording device settings.  I just played with those (mostly toggling between Stereo Mix and Line-In) and was briefly able to get AmarecTV to run with video capture (though the audio was just a feedback loop between one of my microphones and my speakers), though now it's back to the 80004005 errors.

After much tinkering, I was finally able to get AmarecTV to work with the following settings.  I don't actually have anything running to the audio inputs on my Dazzle, but if I selected (not used) for the audio capture device I didn't get any sound on my recordings.

Putting this here in case anyone else has similar problems.

Puwexil, I had the same issue and what it seems to be is that the video capture program I was using had the audio setting basically on, and it was fighting with Amerec.  When the video capture program was on, Amerec wouldn't work.  When Amerec was on, I wasn't getting the video capture.  Once I turned the audio off on the video capture program, it started working and I've had no issues since.

Similar issue but I'm using a BMIP and a brand new HDMI cable. Perfect picture quality, no sound through either my PC headphones or on the final capture. Anyone got any ideas?

Right,

I bought an audio box that hooks into the main video socket beside the HDMI port on my 360 (where the component cable usually sits). I've ran a stereo cable -> 3.5mm jack from this straight into my line-in on my sound card. I can see the audio levels going in time to the game audio, but even after copying these settings, I cannot get any sound on my recordings (but I can hear them in my headphones).

Anyone got any suggestions??? Sad

Those frame drops are worrying. I've done Amarec recordings with the BMIP just yesterday and worked fine. Have you tried Media Express (you won't get audio but final video will have it)? That will let you know if Amarec is the issue or your settings.

Ignore the frame drops, I was backing up my C drive whilst testing the audio (it never drops frames otherwise). I've applied additional (custom-made) shielding to my BMIP adaptor cables, so will see if perhaps I use the line in on that cable and the HDMI for the video.

*Edit* Seems to have done the trick. Bizarrely, I couldn't hear the audio in my headset (which is passing through the chain before it reaches the line-in on my BMIP cable splitter), but I can hear and now record it fine with AmaRec! o_O

Bizarre, but it works for me so all good! Cheesy
