Unless you have no problems with 2.31 I'd stay with that. He seems to have came across some bugs with this latest release.

First get this: http://www.amarectv.com/download/amarectv300.zip

Then download this and replace the executable file (it has some bug fixes): http://www.amarectv.com/download/amarectv300b.zip

You can read about the bug fixes on his blog: http://amalabo.blog35.fc2.com/blog-entry-249.html

Thanks for the help.

Unfortunately, it's still not loading.  I'm still getting the same Vista+ warnings and the prompt to download the official video codec from the website.  Strange...

In the readme file it says this:

Quote:
        インストーラーはありません。解凍して出来るAmaRecTV.exeを実行して下さい。
AMVビデオコーデックがインストールされていない場合は、
先にAMVビデオコーデックをインストールして下さい。

Which translates to: "There is no installer.  After extracting AmarecTV.exe, please execute the file.  If you have not installed AMV Video Codec please install it beforehand."

I wonder if for some reason since I am on a Japanese version of Windows 7 it is causing the program to auto kill because I haven't bought the AMV Video Codec that it claims that it requires.

I definitely have all of the DirectShow drivers I need and the latest version of CCCP, which should have any decoder/codecs I need.

I also found it says this:

Quote:

Translates to: "The AMV Video Codec Ver. 3.00 or above is required.  Download and install it from the homepage.  You will need internet connectivity to download the codec or view the online help.
*AMV Video Decoder has a price, but you can use it without purchasing it."

That last part confuses me...  Apparently they want you to buy it, but you don't... Have to?  I am going to try to click on some buttons on the official homepage to see if I can download it without purchasing it.

Edit^4: WOW...

Okay, after I went to this page: http://www.amarectv.com/buy.htm and then scrolled ALL the way down to the bottom to get this link: http://cgi.geocities.jp/amarectv/cgi-bin/kz_dl_counter.cgi?http://www.amarectv.com/download/amv300i.zip it finally let me download the codec without paying.  Then Amarec loaded!  What the heck!  So weird!

Edit^5: Okay, hmmm...  It works now, but I can't get the HDMI to show up through the HDPVR2.  It gave me an error:

Any ideas what this could be from?

Edit^Final: It appears that the HD PVR 2 is not supported with it.  According to Amarec's help file, only a few HD capture devices are confirmed to be compatible:

マイコンソフト (Miconsoft) SC-500N1/DVI

Blackmagic Design Intensity Pro

SKNET MonsterX-i

Oh well!  At least we figured out how to get it to work if you are having the problem I was encountering!

I've heard from some people havinf a lot of problems with the last Amarec but with different capture cards like Drazler or EZ-Cap. GV-USB2 works good just if you install correctly the drivers into your OS.

But in my personal opinion, i recommend using an older version which has better support for streaming programs and capture cards Smiley
