Alien: Isolation is a first person horror game that has a single player campaign, as well as sets of self contained 'Survivor' mode levels that have built in leader boards ranked on time and on points.
Single Player Campaign: As far as I know, there are no actual speed runs of the single player campaign that have been completed as of yet. From some incomplete testing, it looks as though the speed run of the single player campaign will take approximately 4 or 5 hours + to complete, taking into account the possibilities of death and such. The very early game is very easy and straightforward, with little to no chance of being caught by the Alien, and the humans are not dangerous at all. Once the Alien starts to appear, particularly around the infamous Medical chapter, there's a difficult balance to be made between speed and safety, where it can be difficult to get anywhere with any measure of speed while the Alien is nearly on top of you much of the time. Luck with spawns and good intuition as to when it is safe to begin sprinting is necessary. Once you get the flamethrower however, you have a lot more freedom to scare the Alien off while keeping up some measure of speed. At that point, keeping an eye out for flamethrower fuel could be quite important, depending on how much fuel you end up using trying to force the Alien away. Other than that, there are a few key codes that should be memorized, and remembering which computers are needed to progress is important.
Survivor Mode: These are much smaller missions, each one taking around a minute to complete when speed running them. Only one is available for free with the game by default, the other three currently available are part of the Corporate Lockdown DLC. More are slated to come as part of future DLC releases. The small map length allows for a low barrier to entry for competition, though the need to buy DLC for more maps than the base one is a bit annoying. There is a risk of cheaters on the Survivor leaderboards, however the developers recently cleared out the listing of the most egregious cheaters. (Though there are a few still present on the leaderboard for the Basement map - if 43 or 47 second times are possible on that map, I have no idea how.)
On the whole, I have not been able to find any glitches useful for speedruns so far. One possibility is the character Axel, in the early parts of the main campaign, can push Ripley around at full force if the player gets in the way, which may allow for some map clipping. (When I found this out, Axel ran into me and flung me on top of a nearby barrel that I couldn't move off of.) In the survivor maps in particular, it's possible to scare the alien away and into a vent with the flamethrower, and if the player is nearby the alien model, it's possible for the movement of the Alien's limbs and tail to push the player around and give quite a speed boost - provided you don't run right into it afterward losing any time gained.
I think Alien has the potential to be a quite impressive speed run if running the main campaign, though at present it looks to be pretty long, especially with high risk of death. Survivor mode is quite fun as well, and makes for quick and easy runs that are fun to try to improve.
Run examples (Survivor Mode): The Basement, Severance, Scorched Earth, Loose Ends.
