Just got a sub 32 run.
Finally I can say that I'm done with this game! What a relief! Shocked Smiley
Burning a DVD copy right now, vid coming soon!

EDIT:

It's only in 240p right now, but that's because it's already been compressed with yua. I will upload the raw files tomorrow. Enjoy!
Formerly known as Skullboy
Good job J.Y. That was fun to watch. Clean and good routing.  It's been probably 12-13 years since I've seriously played through this underrated gem and I plan on rectifying that soon.
Thank you! This is the hardest speedrun I've made, but also my best one so far.

This run is avalible for verification now, feel free to help me with the process if you want to Smiley

Thanks!
At first it may be a bit hard to remeber where all the prisoners are, but since I've played this game so much I could probably find them all in my sleep Wink

Edit: I've uploaded the raw files on YT now, check it out!

Hey J.Y nice run! I used to play this game sometimes as a kid because one of my cousins had it, never beat it tough as I always had little time to play it and the difficulty didn't help either, but I would like to play it and maybe try and speedrun it, the thing is I don't have the console and the cartridge ready to go so I'd like to know if it would be valid to run it in an emulator and, if valid, which emulator would be the best? Thanks in advance if someone cares to reply!
SDA generally does not accept emulators but on speedrun.com, you can submit such runs. The reason we don't accept them is the small inaccuracies... same with clone consoles except with Analog brand ones (which does have a Genesis console btw). More on our rules. SDA submissions are more cumbersome than just uploading on YT, but here are reasons you might find for submitting a run once you've gotten sufficiently good. In any case, happy running! Feel free to post here on your progress if you like. And I suppose nothing's stopping you from first practicing on an emu.
I see, thanks for the info lotblind, I still have a long way to go learning this game first until I can put together a complete run, so I'll start practicing in an emu and if I get good enough I'll ask my cousin for his cartridge, find a joystick and a psu for my genesis 2 and finally buy a sony trinitron crt so I can start practicing in the real hardware!
