Just to be sure, is this where you sign up for AGDQ 2014 or not? I read the first post explaining the rules, but I'm still confused, due to how all the other posts look. I just wanna be sure before I post in the wrong place.
You register at the GameDoneQuick website, but right now It's down for maintenance, I think.

Wow, hello quick responses! O.o

Alright, thanks. I'll look at it again.

I hope you watched the video at least just to see how cool the new skips are Tongue

So I need to submit a video as part of the submission? Eesh. I'll have to figure out how to record the whole thing. Camstudio's not gonna cut it!
I hit submit, but after I did, it brought me to the login screen (I assume it was because I left the tab open for a while before submitting). Does this mean my games weren't submitted? I don't want to submit twice, but I want to make sure that they DO get submitted.
A note on the videos is that they don't have to be high quality stuff. Like the game should be watchable and it's nicer if it's high quality, but if you have to take a camcorder to a screen because there's no other choice then go for it (but make sure it's still like, watchable)
Submitted 2 runs
They're deciding what runs will be in the stream right now, and I feel like I'm about to die from the suspense.
Crawlathon WR, get down on my level.

Log back in, click on the "Game Submissions" link at the top.

If it gives you the form again, your runs were not submitted and you can safely resubmit. Otherwise, it should show you the runs you submitted.
Ok, thanks, gonna resubmit real quick.
Not important, but grey would probably be a better color for the video button on http://gamesdonequick.com/submission/all

I thought they were all rejected at first glance.
King of the Choads
Alright, I already got bopped. If you don't mind telling me why, that'd be awesome, but I'm really not salty. I'll attempt something else for next year.
So, my Animal Crossing All Debts submission got marked as Bonus.  I'm assuming this is referring to the bonus stream, but correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm just wanting a little clarity on the color coding.  "Reject" and "Bonus" are obvious as being rejected from the marathon and being a bonus game during the marathon respectively, but the other 3 statuses aren't 100% clear to me.  Does "Accept" mean that it's already guaranteed a slot into the marathon, or is this still the same as the previous 1st round of cuts?  "Waitlisted" is kinda weird to me, and a definition would be nice.

Edit: Another thing that could use clarifying on the website is in the case of games with 2 categories suggested, which category is being accepted.
Why are there no reasons for games being rejected like with SGDQ 2014?

My feelings on The Demon Rush
Okay, as I'm sure you all know, you can now view the submissions at this link: http://gamesdonequick.com/submission/all

Anything not games-related, there will be topics and posts for those, but they don't go here. I will say that registration for the event will be live around late September/early October and will likely be 50 dollars for multiple days/the entire stay.

The categories for the submissions definitely need some explanation, and I will add them to the first post.

Accept: This means the game is accepted, however, like last year, I will probably accept more games than the 150 hours that the marathon runs for, so there will be a second round of cuts.

Reject: This one should be pretty self-explanatory. Sorry, your game didn't make it.

Bonus: This is not bonus stream, but it means your game can be donated in, like Minecraft was at AGDQ 2014, and Metal Wolf Chaos was during this year's SGDQ 2014. A bonus game is not guaranteed because if we're running way behind schedule we might nuke it. The good news is that we were actually running really ahead of schedule during SGDQ so I don't *think* that will be a concern (famous last words).

Waitlisted: This is kind of like Halo 2 from last AGDQ, and various games at SGDQ. The game might not be accepted right now, but if there are drops (and they always happen), then there's a chance this game can make it on the schedule.

Which category is being accepted: There will be comment functionality within a couple of days so I can clarify which category/conditions upon which the game is being accepted (like if this is a race I will accept it, or x category can be a donation incentive). I won't comment on every submission, but I'll try to comment on ones with multiple categories and the like.

Duplicate submissions: I'm not sure the best way to handle this, because we don't really have functionality to add multiple runners to a game and declare something a race, so if you see duplicate submissions for a game, it's likely a race or co-op run. If I rejected duplicate submissions, then that means I think the game is bad for a race.

Peter afro: It would take too long to explain each individual game being accepted, and a lot of the reasons would be similar. Also, my reasons got worse and worse as time went on last year because I was just getting more and more worn out.

Haha yes, that too.
The game stuff is important and all but right now the Salt-O-Meter is broken and I'm pissed.
