my names amadeus arkham and i wanna learn to speedrun. i kinda want some advice from somebody because i have no idea even where to start. does anybody have some advice?

Hi,
First off, figure out which game you want to run. I'm assuming from the title of the thread, you want to run a Zelda, Metroid, or Batman game. Luckily for you, all 3 of those game series have gone through extensive routing, so all you need to is learn the route. For Zelda, go to ZeldaSpeedruns.com (on my phone, so the link probably won't work). They'll help you out from there. For Batman, I recommend contacting RoboSparkle, Cojasoa, or other Batman runners for advice, as they'll know much more than me. For Metroid, I'm not entirely sure, sorry
There's a bunch of other stuff like having the right mindset, practicing, so on and so forth, but you'll cross that bridge when you get to it
