Adventure Speedruns

No cracking please, when you have the original CD's now cracking is needed.

Camtasia automatically uses 15 frames, thats enough for Monkey Island 3.

If your PC slows down with using Camtasia, maybe your Computer is too slow. Or you have too many open processes.

On my PC it runs fluently. Which system do you have? CPU, RAM, ....

and no,
I dont have anything running in the background.
And camtasia automatically had 5 frames per sec, so I will have to change that.

And you are even surprised Camtasia runs slow? 128megs of ram, seriously, since the release of Windows XP you should be thankful your PC can run Minesweeper fluently. There is no way you could speed things up a lot with those hardware specs. Man I'm laughing hard right now! Kiss

As i know Camtasia uses 15 frames standard.

And the RAM is the big problem I think.

When Windows XP starts the complete 128MB RAM are full. So everything has to go slowly.
You should have minimum 512MB RAM. That's what I think.

omg! wtf?

my XP at startup is using only 70 MB (only 11 services enabled). even though i have 1 GB RAM and i shouldn't be that memory hungry..

there are a lot of useless services you could disable, but you really have to know what you're doing..

First of all,
This computer is 5 years old, and i dont have the money for extra ram etc

Secondly,
Minesweeper doesnt run slow >_>

3thly,
the computer runs fine with some of the latest games.

Lastly,
only 11 processes are on at startup, only uses 2 to 4% CPU and only +-150000/315000 memory usage.

Because of bashing my 5 year old computer, i will stop doing the MI3 run.

This is sad, but Camtasia in combination with ScummVM, needs a lot of memory.

Maybe you do it later with some newer equipment.

Okay, what I wrote wasn't completely nice, but it was no bashing. It was using common sense.
Being too sensitive won't get you far, so if you don't like other people's opinions, don't dwell on them/ read them/ ask for them.

How do you get the game to see the files on the HD if you copy them? Ive got the original cds, but needed a crack to make the program view the game files on the HD

For example with MI3(and all other games which run under ScummVM) I only copy the whole CD per drag an drop in a folder. That's it.

Hello again.

Now the site is online.

All speedruns are added and available for download.

Only the streams have to be uploaded. I think i will fix that till tomorrow evening.

And after that finally my site is completed. Troubles banned.

The provider had to move my account to a faster server, i think it was too much for him. Smiley

But now, faster server and let's rock.
