^^^Title. The game in question is Shining Force. I have run (and uploaded) two different runs on youtube though both were run on an Emulator as I don't have a working console anymore. Someone mentioned that the Steam version might be acceptable so before I bother going through purchasing and running it I would like to know if that is the case.

If it's an official release I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be accepted. You should inform yourself about possible differences between versions though so there's no problems with strats/glitches.

I think we had some discussion of this before; IIRC the emulator that the Steam releases use is some slightly-modified version of a widely-used one which had re-recording support, so that's probably out. Of course, better confirm this first.
