Earlier this morning (about 1 a.m.) I was able to complete a speed run of Crackdown... The time is somewhere under 30 minutes, A new game +, and features lots of death abuse (or where you can "Extract" from a location which is pretty much the same thing...)  I was going to see for sending a message to the individual to see for checking to send a video in for verification, but as many of you know, he is currently in Europe till next week...

I'm ok with waiting to submit the run, but there is a part of me that is actually wanting to post the run now... However, if I recall correctly, there was something about "Do not submit your run until we tell you" and along side with that I don't want to do anything that would be against the rules to submit runs...

The question I have is this... While not really posting on speeddemosarchive for now, may I post the run (in three parts) on youtube then when I submit the run to send in the original video from there, or should I just hold off until the run is verified/submitted to speed demos first?
Thread title:
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
You can upload the run elsewhere, since it is yours. A lot of people do this, in fact. That line on the submission page just says, "Please do not send us the run itself until we have given you permission to do so." I'm not sure what you mean in your last line, but you can't just link to YouTube (i.e. you need to keep the original files).

O no, Of course not... The Crackdown run is an avi file that was recorded with pinnacle, by all means that would be the one that is submitted once I get permission to submit it... I was just concerned since I didn't want to post it elsewhere if I wasn't suppose to... Thanks for the quick response...
it's perfectly fine to post it on youtube and display it to the community in the crackdown thread or to whoever you want.  submitting your run afterwards will not be affected by doing this.  either way it will be considered and judged the same, so it's mainly just your opinion on showing it off now or waiting until it is posted [providing it is accepted]/
