SDA Apprentice -- (3-1)
A Kingdom for Keflings was released as the primer game for the NXE... The main goal of the game is to complete the castle, thereby producing a King or Queen of the Keflings... The game doesn't end after you make the castle (/w attachments) but from what I was able to figure out, after you make the castle and get the the attachments, you get a scene of the Keflings celebrating around you, thus would be a good way to place as the end... After playing through the game, I can imagine that this game can be beaten in a a good few hours since it took me 5 hours to just get from start to finish...

This would be a fun speed run considering that you are making a full working kingdom in a few hours, though there are a few things that I can think of on terms of planning a run...

1) I'm pretty sure that you don't need all the buildings, though at the same time you are required build building to progress... However, for some buildings, they don't really serve much purpose after they are built and could possibly be recycled for their parts...

2) The Parts themselves also serves a purpose as well for if you have a building that shares the same kind of blueprints or parts needed to make a building... I was thinking that there could be parts where you can build the parts of a building in advance then from there dispose of the building and recycle the parts and more room as well... after all, the parts that that the town workshop make are just needed for one or two things then it isn't really needed afterwards...

3) One crucial element of the game is how you place your buildings... its one thing to place your buildings near locations where they can harvest materials faster, but also another thing to keep them close to buildings that upgrade material and on top of that to keep them near the workshops to quickly deposit the materials needed to make buildings... It is better to walk in short distances then to walk across the map to just deposit materials... along side with that, there is also scattered power ups in the area as well and if you want it, you have to dig it out to use it, and that could cost time as well...

4) Kicking Keflings is not only fun, but one good kick can throw the person in the building without having to travel that far...

5) As the game progresses, you are given a choice between two kinds of buildings which you can only pick one or the other... I may not say for sure which sets of buildings are better or if it is even worth it...

6) From time to time, the Kefling that you put in charge gives you quests... of course some of these quests are simple straightforward things like "deposit X in Y" or get stars from buildings... one thing is to manage the kingdom, but to do quests are very important since they give you power ups and more hearts to make more keflings to work with...

7) There can also be a situation where you can see for mining/harvesting what you need then once you get that amount to completely abandon that part and focus on the other things you need... the four kinds of materials are Rocks, Trees, Crystals, and Wool... and of course they can be upgraded to better materials...

Right now, I'm trying to figure out how many of what kinds of materials are needed and maybe do some number crunching to see what is needed... I also need to figure out what is the better way to go for the 5th thing I mentioned...  And of course as always I am always looking for co-op runs and this could easily qualify as a co-op run as well...

so far, I haven't had any luck finding this glitch so far, but it would be interesting to see for doing this... otherwise, just have to do it the old fashioned way...

Has it really been over a year since I started this thread?  Huh...  Anyway, I am just quickly rebumping to see if I can respark interest in a possible speed run or even a speed run team for a kingdom for keflings and the newly released A world for keflings...

i'm probably going to start planning soon with what needs to be done, but it would be rather interesting to see if there are others who want to join and and even perform a co-op speed run...  Until then, its time to start counting materials...
Pac is Back
As the previously ranked #1 player on World of Keflings I fully support this run and will watch it as soon as you do it :3
Hey man, I'm down to run this if you're still interested. I'm sub 3hrs on single player runs so coop could be really quick. My gamertag is SooooStnd - pm me and we can chat about it
