i hope that progress in the 3DS XL board is going well. i still want one of those since the XL is more comfortable to use.

Is katsukity the only one selling 3DSXL capture devices at this point? I don't own a 3DS yet, was thinking of getting an XL + capture device.

I just checked the 3DScapture.com forums very quickly and it looks like Katsukity is the only one that is selling 3DS XL capture devices.
I have the regular modded 3DS and I do know that Paraxade is using a modded 3DS XL.
It does sacrifice the IR sensor used for Circle Pad Pro, Skylanders and Pokémon X/Y Battle Maison Multi-Team co-op (iirc), because of the added mini-USB slot used for the capture device.

Katsukity does not support the avi recorder (see attached image) so you have to use programs Bandicam/Fraps if you wanted to do raw/SDA submit recordings.
It's not much of an issue if your intention is pure livestreaming for playthroughs/races/live speed runs.

heh i didn't know the IR port was lost on the XL version.

i'll still wait for Loopy's XL version whenever he finishes it (if he does. it looks like just making more of the current model takes all his time)

I just hope loopy's xl capture card has the IR port (if he even makes one).
I use Circle Pad Pro A LOT (because of monster hunter) so if I get a capture card I'm going to need the IR port.
