Busy working. I got some samples of what should be the final board rev, I'm testing it out now. Once everything checks out, I'll begin producing larger quantities to sell.
Whooooa, that looks real nice! Let us know how the tests worked out as soon as you can! I'm so ready to throw my money at you. By the way, have you been able to simplify the installation process for this? I remember reading that installing the device is super difficult.
Installing itself isn't as difficult, it's just the soldering that's difficult. Loopy himself said the hardest part is, putting it all together, but our 3DS Modder had a different experience.
Will you still have your option for a per-built consoles? I'm not confident in soldering myself, but I have someone who lives near me who can solder it for me if you're not going to offer that service anymore.
Yes, unfortunately I don't think I have much choice. I'm not comfortable letting inexperienced people trying to install it themselves, there will undoubtedly be broken consoles.

Ahhh yes, that is true. That does seem to be the most difficult part of it all. I have someone who can solder it for me, though, so that's too much of an issue for me.

Oh, that's a wonderful idea as well! You're bound to get more sales for it if you do pre-built consoles, too. Albeit, I imagine it does take more work and money to do.
It's quite exciting to see progress on this come so close to the finish!
Seeing how the screenshots were taken on a Windows XP computer, will the software work with Vista/7?
I assume it'll work the same way the DS version does, which works perfectly fine on Vista/7, though the drivers are a bit of a pain to install - but this is Microsoft's fault, not loopy's.
I have the Capture Software running on Windows 8 Developer Preview, and Windows 8 Customer Preview. No problems at all, but keep in mind, that Windows 8 doesn't require installation of Drivers.
I could test it on Windows 7, when I get more time. I mean, does that one require Drivers to be installed?
Yes, I had to install the drivers to make the DS device work for me. How to install them is such a pain in the ass though. I miss the "right click on the inf and choose install". Which is double dumb for Windows 7 because THE INSTALL OPTION IS STILL THERE. Try to use it? "lol u can't install this way loser!"
Install it through Control Panel → Hardware Devices. One of the unknown ones, is the DS Capture.
Also, as far as I can remember, I had to install the DS Drivers for Windows 8, but I didn't install the 3DS Drivers on it.
Will there be more in-depth details as to how to install these drivers, or is that as much as we would need to know? By the way, this is BBA; I bit the bullet and got an account.
Welcome then. I could explain more, but I thought it was already clear enough. Well, I do admit, I did explain it simply, because I did that from my memory (I'm not in Windows, at the moment).
YamiHoshi.nl: Could you please take a screenshot of the home menu showing the Nintendo Zone banner? For the bottom screen it would be best if you could choose the 5 x 3 icon layout. Thanks!
if someone wants a 3DS capture device but can't send you their 3DS for the installation, will you be offering special packages where the buyer will pay for a new 3DS along the capture device and installation? for me, it would be way too complicated to send my own 3DS for this and saving up more money for an extra 3DS for the capture device would be far easier.
