Katsukity will assemble if you ship (and I'm pretty sure loopy will too when he goes public, since that is the only way he wanted to do it earlier).

You could also potentially reduce the cost by buying a premodded 3DS, system transfer over, and sell the old one. But more risk in that since you don't know exactly how much you're going to get and how long it will take you to get it.

I see. I'll wait till the price goes down and when it does, I'll make my decision then. Getting my hands on this will hopefully make things easier especially since I can use it to do videos. If only there's like a record feature I think.

I heard like third hand that Loopy's will be able to record directly and Katsukity's only displays. But like I said, that was hardly direct info. Though screen recording on a PC isn't that hard, so whatever.

The fix for the streetpass bug is to just delete the Mii from your plaza. Or change your mii's hat as that causes the plaza to refresh.

All I know is that I will get my hands on it eventually when it gets cheaper. When I do... I will enjoy it to no end.

Deleting Miis doesn't solve the problem. I think there is a special 3DS-ID, that gets blocked. Because Swapnote- and NSMB2-StreetPass doesn't work, too.

I would just say wait it out. Most of the accounts I've heard of the bug say it fixed itself in a month or less. There are a dozen things that people say speed it along, but I can't say which if any of them work.

The glitch seems to be that it looses the data on when you last met the person, so it doesn't know when you are allowed to meet again (Though if the issue was as simple as that I would assume they would put in the fail safe adding a check to assume the time met to be now if the data is missing)

Wow, after deleting one of my Miis on on the Capture Device and a search of 8 hours, StreetPass is working again. I even don't have to delete my other Miis, because they find each other again, too. Swapnote- and NSMB2-StreetPass is also working again.

At least it kinda fixed itself in time. That seems like a major bug that hurts a big feature of the 3ds. Nintendo needs to fix that, because it's a handheld and will run out of batteries at some point in its life due to its low battery life.

I think I know the reason why it works again. You can find people again after 8 hours. So after removing the batteries, this mechanism is broken. But when you put your 3DS at stand-by-mode for 8 hours, the system notes the time and can calibrate the time-mode again. That's the reason, why it works complete again now. Quite interesting.

What is the price range going to be around for the US? (shipping, the 3DS Capture install, whatever else you need to pay) And I am a little confused, do we send our 3DS to loopy, and then Loopy solders the device to our 3DS, then Loopy sends our 3DS back?

The device will be around $200 if you want to have it installed, loopy will ship from UT.
You can send your 3DS to loopy to get it modded or loopy can buy a 3DS for you (which you'll have to pay for too in common sense). In any case you have to come up for all shipping costs.

Forget if I've actually gotten an answer for this question: Is there going to be a capture card for the XL, when-ish will it be ready, and will there be a price difference? I'm trying to decide between regular and XL, and would prefer the XL, but if Loopy's not doing an XL capture card, I'll go for the regular.

I haven't decided. If I make one, it's months away. Price would be similar, perhaps a little more if installation is especially difficult.

That is far too soon to tell. It will likely be similar in price to the normal 3ds board, but he only recently achieved capture. there is still lots of production to do between alpha stage (if you even want to call it that yet) and final release.
