oh ok ..... also bro if you want your capture to sell more i suggest u have little battery in it too so that the battery also extends thus not just getting buyers to record but also those who want extended battery life....THIS IS JUST A SUGGESTION
Shake that Wiimote!
That would take a lot of wiring and it would be very complicated, so it's not likely to happen.
Fucking Weeaboo
USB can carry power anyways, so what's the point?

So Loopy, when you start selling them, can I send you my european and japanese 3DS systems, so that you can mod them for me? I don't feel very confident in doing it myself. And do I loose that data on the system?

The only data you'll loose, are the Time and Date Settings, so nothing really important.
But if the 3DS breaks, you cant use your Sd card (which doesnt work in others) Sad
@Toast: But I can change my SD-Card or is the slot closed after modding?
Visit us!
Of course you can, but the real question is, where would you find the spare part?
But don't worry, it wouldn't break as easily as Toast describes.

The spare part? I mean, if I want to upgrade my SD card to a bigger model, can I do that?

Okay, so I have planned to send Loopy 2 3DS systems. I really hope that he will mod them for me.

Oh, that's what you mean!
To do so, just copy everything from your old SD Card to your PC, and paste it to your new SD Card.
It's as easy as that.

Yeah, I know that, but I want to know, if I can reach the SD-Card in the capture device just like before.

Of course you can.
I mean, how do you want to record eShop Titles then?

Okay thanks!

BTW, when I send my 3DS system, the post-shirt wants to know, if it's a gift and what the price of the goods is. What should I write there? 3DS system and 150$? Must Loopy pay custom fees for it? Does anyone have experience with that?
Visit us!
A general rule on Customs is, that USA pays Customs from $ 200 USD.
In the EU (not Europe, it's European Union), Customs are from € 22,-, and additional fees start at € 150,-.
You could just say it's a gift and lie about its value. They have no business opening your package.
Visit us!
It depends.
In some countries, they can do anything to your package, if there's no official invoice on it.
Yeah I know these problems. I live in Germany and they love to open my packages. -.-

I will write "2x Used 3DS videogame systems" on it and a price of 189$, so that there is no problem.
"You could just say it's a gift and lie about its value. They have no business opening your package."

That might be true, but in germany they can force you to fetch the package from the toll office and open it while they see all goods, then they'll charge you.

Its weird with stuff like this in germany seriously.

From what I've heard is, you'll need to come to these offices, and get your package.
I live in The Netherlands, here you have to pay in front of the door (cash only), unless it's FedEx, they will send you a fine, 2 weeks after you receive your package.
Yes, in Germany you have to go to the office and show them an invoice. But maybe it's different in the US.
The problem I'm referring to is:

If Loopy sends the thing back to you and you have to come to the toll office you will probably have to pay fees. (I once had a case were they wouldn't let some usb cable through because of some apparantly missing CE Logo lol  WTF)
It's not a problem if I have to pay taxes. I will ask Loopy if he can send me the devices via UPS, so I can pay it right at my housedoor.
How much do you think the shipping would cost to get my 3DS sent from the UK to loopy (for it to be modded) and back to the UK? Gogoku7 was telling me it would be £100.
DS Dictator
Well mine costs £18 from UK to US, but the package had the actual 3DS box inside = a bit more secure. I remember the return price for the DS phat price from US to UK was around $13, back then the package was only the portable. The price for the actual mod is still not fully confirmed. $200 ~ £100-£110.
Many people are interested in this device. I hope Loopy has enough boards for all of us.^^
