Quite.

It is great to see such a good progress, keep your good work up!

It's not as bad as it looks.  I think even someone with no soldering experience can do it without much difficulty ... it just takes a steady hand and some patience.  Putting the 3DS back together is the tricky part.

I guess you are right, I am just scared I might somehow mess up and fry the system Sad

Also, I would like to see the options to reduce bandwidth to be optional, some people may only want the top screen to be recording in 3D, or would rather sacrifice fps over quality, or quality over fps, etc.
is it necessary to capture with both HDMI outputs or can you just pick one and capture itin 2D mode?
i have an HDMI-capable capture card already.
No.  It will also output only thru one HDMI port (one or both screens).  I expect this is how most people will use it.  It would be unreasonable to expect most people to run 2 capture cards at the same time Tongue

Actually, that was my plan for a local Mario Kart 7 tournament.
It requires 2 Capture Devices (and 2 3DS's), for the best enjoyment for the spectators.
Love & Snuggles~
I'm very interested in the capture device you are able to build. And I really like how it looks so great on the PC screens there. ^^

I wish I could get my hands on this! >w< I pay any price for it~
Woo! Got a frame grab!
Awesome!

Awesome! Very good job! Looks so great *-*
So the device would be able to capture in 3D/left and right image simultaneously as well? Not that I would actually use it but the fact per se is very interesting.
Yes, it can do L/R capture.  Why anyone would want that, I don't know... Maybe one of these days I'll try playing around with NVidia 3DVision.  It's pretty low on my priority list, I don't think many people have 3D displays.

It would be handy for viewing it on the 3DS's screen.
But other than that, I don't know how L/R Capture would be handy.

Awesome loopy, that looks really great! Best of luck with the work to come.

Starting to look halfway decent now...
I still need to work on the transfer speed, it isn't optimized at all yet.

I just got some good laughs a lot at your Mii!
But I guess, you can't see any speed on photo's.
Fucking Weeaboo
Awesome.  Can't wait for you to finish it up! Smiley
I want it now!
I'm tempted to buy a 3ds just for this :I

Where is your keyboard's numpad?

This is probably my most anticipated tech thing coming up, I'll definitely be one of your first buyers.

Really?
I thought the Numpad wasn't as anticipated.

Whoa, awesome! Looking so good! I really cannot wait for it, do you have any price imaginations for it yet?
Oh and would it possible to get a short test video? As YamiHoshi said, one cannot see speed on photos :p

Looks pretty good.

The video doesn't work yet, it only saves as PNG files now.

Ahh okay, thanks for the information YamiHoshi!
DS Dictator
Is it possible to upload a single PNG file that has both screens in 2D?

[  TOP SCREEN  ]
  [Touch screen]

I want to mess around with the .avs scripts to see if the triple screen layout style is possible like my recent DS videos on Youtube.
Personally I would think that getting that triple screen layout would be easier with a seperate output for each screen. At the very least, merging in avs is really simple so it would hardly take any more effort.
Like this?
