I'm not Zelda.
So I'm new to being a speedrunner in this crazy speedrunning thing and I was scouring around for some interesting games to run. After looking at the same 15 or so games in about 20 different top 10 lists I decided to just look at the vast list of games on here and see if there is something that catches my eye. Eventually though, I scrolled past .Hack// Infection and remembered all of the memories coming back to me and how much I loved playing it. Just so happens as well, I picked up a copy of it from a local shop a couple weeks ago and haven't gotten around to playing it, but I sure was excited.
Now to the real point of this thread. I could find two recorded runs of this game, all horribly segmented into small videos and one of them isn't even verified. They also have a big time difference and seem to have no trace of strats or anything of the sort in sight. The verified run only has segment one on here and is extremely basic so no real help is found in it. Both videos have incredibly different strats at certain points and it really seems that any sign of strategy explanation isn't certain and is just based on assumptions. From the sound of it also, they only did one full run and couldn't verify any strategic changes from each other.
So does anyone here have any strategies or tips for someone thinking about running this game? Or am I just on my own to route and develop strategies? Anything would be highly appreciated and I'm willing to put work into this run as this game is a classic to me and I absolutely love it.
