Figured we could start up a thread discussion regarding the shortcuts & tricks in this game! I haven't spent much time with it yet due to me only having acquired this game just now but it seems like there could be a lot of tech to it (just like the original)

The most useful technique so far seems to be the "infinite object hover", or how you would call it. You simply jump & drag an object beneath as the Wizard to hover wherever you desire which makes you able to skip tons of puzzles.

Here's a non-obvious use for the technique in Shadowed Halls, I wouldn't be surprised if more walls high up weren't solid.

The second clip is Pontius doing some sort of weird slide with his shield, it seems to be useless as of now, though. Also it appears that you can slightly clip into gates as Pontius if you charge at it while you have an object falling on you at an correct angle, haven't found a use for it yet. Does he get the ability to grab items later on, by the way? Because I'm kinda sad if we don't get to see cool stuff like this in the game Sad

Welcome to the Future !
Well I'm planning to speedrun this game myself... Even though there are some hard moves i think I'll do a new game+, single segment run. I think a simple SS run could be interesting too as regards the way to catch enough experience.
My first test runs went fairly under 1 hour (SS, and taking into account loading screens and cutscenes)

I already found a very nice move that skips most of the enigmas : Plank + charge that allows really giant jumps. I didn't find any video yet, but this is pretty simple to perform.

UPDATE : The counter now goes under 45 minutes. I didn't find any other tricks, but routes are hard to find since levels are often "vertical" (unlike trine 1) However i think a sub - 40 min run is possible

However, the trick you found is great, and i'll wait a bit before beginning the run... just to be sure i do not miss a glitch or something.
