That's an insane run! great job Andrew, you're simply incredible and I still can't believe that when I talked to you about your run, you were actually thinking about doing the couples of frames perfect tricks in the game so you'll eventually sub 4:57. It's run is simply perfect.
A/V is right. No cheating Decision:Accept reason:Do I really need to specify it .
Congratulation to AndrewG.

Amazing run. So close to perfect.

i believe this will be improved someday but yeah this is obviously about as good a run as can be expected without pouring an insane amount of time into getting a run with the bullet glitch. i would say he made legit mistakes in the 2nd and 3rd rooms of 8-4 but they're pretty minor and completely unnoticeable to anyone who has not studied the game themselves. frame rules can be saved elsewhere as well but yea accept lol

This is a real work of art we have here. Andrew has been pushing this game to its limits for years, and finally after so many attempts, we're nearly approaching its maxed threshold. I enjoyed reading the run comments more then I usually do, as they fully illustrate the amount of sweat & effort poured into this game by our runner, and the run itself certainly demonstrates this moreso. All I disagree with is Andrews strong assertion that this run is only frames from perfect, and that the so sought after 4:57 is unachievable. Considering the seconds that have been shaved in just the last five years, its hard to imagine the possibility of what we'll be seeing from Andrew & the other SMB runners over the remainder of this decade.
Anyway, about the run, shits cash. Nearly every level is of TAS quality, and the few bumps that are present are unnoticeable unless your keeping a keen eye.
"For manually timed games with an existing run, improvements must save at least one additional second."
i don't wanna troll around or something. i'm just curious?
This game is probably one of the few exceptions based off how optimized the run has gotten. A full second less would be the TAS pretty much, so a run of this game can only really be improved by just frames at this point.
