Sooo....

Here is my sample video (PAL):
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NY06REWI

Questions:

Why is the sound of sync? The DVD and the ripped file (done with using anri chan) do not seem to be of sync.

What are the D and F's and all that good stuff like bobbing skills of this game?

And yes this also means I fixed my issues with Anri-Chan although I have no idea what was wrong.
Also, is this game considered 2D?

Thanks in advance!

[edit3] 1 more thing, I just checked and the sound appears to already be of sync when watching it in Vdub. (but it's not of sync when I watch the (original) file with VLC)

[edit4] I just read this thread: http://forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/debating_on_recording_format_for_a_capture_device.html and seems like my vid in Vdub is also shorter then when I open it with VLC. (vlc gives 1:14:36 and Vdub says 1:14:22)
Although the sound clearly isn't of by over 12 seconds...

I don't know if this matters at all. But in the beginning the video also doesn't appear to be out of sync. Of course I got over an hour of failures before the actual run starts so that's why it's so late on the video file. Just thought I'd also mention it.
Thread title:
interesting ... i guess you will have to see whether it's out of sync when you encode the "final" files from anri. if so then probably what happened is your dvd recorder can't capture pal nes without audio desync. this happens sometimes - it's unique to pal nes. the solution is either to buy one of these or to torrent the dvd to me instead of trying to encode it yourself. how i fix the desync is simple enough but this problem isn't common enough to warrant including the functionality in anri.

you're playing on an nes, right? this game is assuredly d4 f1 2d. you will probably need to use one of the 1-pixel bobs - just say yes to that question and check which one looks the best. good luck.

Thanks for the answer.

The thing is though that all my other runs have been recorded in the exact same fashion. Al though I always send the dvd files to you because I had that weird anri language error (I think it was anri 2.1 or so back then...).

I sure am good at getting rare errors :(. I remember my first torrent I wanted to sent to you also had some weird (and rare) 99% error ^^.

Anyway, I encoded 1 file with medium and it also had the sound desync... So I guess I have to upload the whole dvd content to you again then...

1 more thing, when I just copy folder (with the .vob files) from my dvd and put it in the anri folder I get that weird anri error I've posted here in the forums. (I thought this was possible to do). When I rip it with anri chan it does work, but now I got this desync problem.

Also send you a PM nate with more questions ^^. (sorry for bothering you)
i don't think you're supposed to put dvd content in anrichanmpeg. i could be wrong on that though. i think you're supposed to put it in c:\video_ts and use option 1 from the main menu to rip (using c as the dvd drive letter).
