Elijah 'scaryice' Miller's any and 100% runs

Verifier Response

Quote:
Video checks out for both runs and the any% run's audio is fine too but sound desyncs in the all bosses run on my end.
I didn't detect cheating of any kind.

Any %
Video of the run starts at 17 seconds and ends at 5:32-ish.
The route is essentially the same as the TAS's route, but with detours for the rock and power powerups.
These detours make the final boss fight a breeze (without them you can't punch super fast like the TAS), therefore I agree with the route choice.
Execution is tight throughout. Glitching into the boss' door was really fast, and the boss fight too.
Aside from the improvements mentioned by the runner in the comments, there's not a whole lot to say here other than accept.

All Bosses
Video of the run starts at 3:19 and ends at 15:14-ish.
I think this run could have benefited a little more from the TAS, microstrategywise (e.g. after beating the first boss, a few seconds are lost fighting the tanks when the TAS simply goes around them).
I roughly timed the differences in taking the warp within chapters 1 and 4 and not taking it.
In chapter 1, the little time the runner gains against the TAS's route up to the first boss fight is lost when he has to go get the (rock case) power up before going to the 2nd chapter, so I'd say the difference shouldn't be significant.
In chapter 4, I actually think the runner's route is slightly better - if you TAS'd it, I think you'd be faster than the nicovideo TAS (eventhough that TAS really isn't optimized).
In general, execution is solid in this run too.
Although this run feels more improvable than the any% one, it's, for me, still an accept.

Decision: Accept

Reason: It's a tight run.
