Video quality is good. Audio's good too, though the volume's lower than I would have liked. The soundtrack is one of the best parts of the game. (Incidentally, I like the real Stage 1 song just as much as the Contra 1 remix.) There's no sign of cheating in the run, despite what Uyama would say. He's sexist toward broken chicks in Nintendo Hard sidescrollers.
The mistake on the helicopter miniboss in Stage 2 didn't cost any time because he had to wait for the orange one to come back on screen. The spider at the beginning of stage 3 cost maybe 2 seconds. Another tiny mistake in Stage 3 he didn't mention in his comments: he air dashed one time too many before 573-Tigris. The fight starts as soon as you touch the floor of the fight. So ideally you'd want to be on the leftmost edge when you land. Didn't even cost him a second, though, so big whoop.
The death in Stage 5 is nasty. The death itself cost about 2 seconds, and the damage decrease a couple as well. In Stage 6, after blowing up the helicopter, you can destroy those flying bombers before they come on screen. The death on the flamethrower part is the worst mistake imo because it's so derp. But it doesn't cost any time cause the stage is an autoscroller. Did that count as a pit death? Can't really tell. The screwup on Arachne cost a couple.
In Stage 7, during the Leviathan chase, was killing that umbrella guy a mistake? Immediately after the bike section in Stage 8, he could have air dashed before landing. Maybe lost a second from that. Lost another 2 from getting hit by a turret. But I don't blame him, that stretch sucks. On Vitis Engine, he frequently attacked the orb that came on screen second. That cost him a little bit. But I think which comes out first is random.
I'd say he lost 15 seconds max from mistakes in this run. Not enough to reject a run for, even if some of them are pretty cringe worthy. The good far outweighs the bad. The runner has been playing this game seemingly nonstop for months, and it shows. The parts that are done well are practically perfect. It's a fun watch. I accept the run, and hope to see an improvement sometime down the line.

Somehow I figured that Sayuri was going to be first character to get a speed run considering how one sided her abilities are in rising mode.
Stage 1: Besides a missed opportunity near the middle where a double dash could have been done, this was pretty flawless.
Stage 2: Perfect dodging up to the point of getting to the mid-boss. That hit the runner took should have been avoidable but that only stalled the runner for about 3 seconds, but then again the other copter was off screen, so it didn't lose much time. After the mid-boss, the stage went well.
Stage 3: The stage barely gets started and the runner makes another mistake, the runner attempts to jump over the “Long armed” enemy twice, only to get hit by an insect and get knocked back to start of his attempted jump. Once again, the runner make good use of the invincible jump to bypass the spinning trap. Funny how in the 2nd set of spinning, he runs right into the spinning trap to air dash his way through. Stage went well for the most part.
Stage 4: not most to say here since due to it being an autoscroll stage. There are really only a few parts where you can actually speed the run up, but that is only during the mini-boss parts. The first is easy enough, pretty much what I would do, the 2nd was particuarlly impressive since I could have sworn sayuri isn’t able to kill the 2nd boss that fast (but the rest of the characters will still run into a problem in that part. The 3rd boss was well done didn’t let the boss attack at all.
Stage 5: I don’t understand why the developers thought putting in a stealth stage was a good idea, no one wants to be stealthy in a contra game. The part of the stage in the Foundry lead to the runner’s first actual big mistake where he got hit on a convertor belt and drops the runner into the pit below. Other than that, the runner does a good job to manipulate the boss to end the fight faster.
Stage 6: another auto-scrolling stage. Once again, there were only three parts that could actually be done be sped up. The runner also decides to kill himself in spite of the fact that there is no time lost because of it. The first miniboss is too easy when you use sayuri (being able to bypass shielded enemies). 2nd boss impressed me again with how fast the boss was put down before it moved into its next attack. Then there is Arachne, the boss that seem to really piss people off. The runner rips off the legs and kills the boss before it is able to shoot its powerful lasers.
Stage 7: The Runner does a great job getting hit at the start, but the rest of the run goes very well being able to run though the majority. The fight against Levelithan could be seen as this run’s highlight considering how the runner is able to keep up with the boss, dodge the grenades being thrown, and even able to run in front of the boss and causing a glitch(?) that warps the boss ahead of him. He takes a hit during the first boss, but it occurs right after the boss is killed. Cerberus was ok, but not as impressive to watch as the fight against levthiathan.
Stage 8: The only mistake here was during the first part where the runner takes a hit, but considering how many enemies there were, it is a bit understandable. The rest of the stage was fantastic, I didn’t even realize that can be on top to avoid the engine, that is pretty impressive in itself. Tiberius was too easy. The first part you can kill him without trying hard because you aren’t using bullets and 2nd part only requires you to jump and over the shockwave stomp, and that’s it. The final boss is what I watched closely and I couldn’t believe that the attack done by Tiberius didn’t take out the platform the runner was on.
Overall, in spite of a few mistakes done by the runner, it really delayed the runner by about 5-10 seconds. The only way this run can be improved now, is if someone completes an even more flawless run than what the runner gave us. Let’s just wait to see who will the 2nd character will be; whether if it is either the runner himself, Mike, or anyone else. It will also be interesting to see if anyone will attempt the arcade mode too. I’m sure someone will do it, but probably not anytime soon…

Echoing what most everyone else already said it's a great run, only a handful of mistakes in total. I'd say in total they add up a bit more then 10-15 seconds as most say, but the game is insanely fast paced throughout making any sort of mistake, let alone a few is inevitable.
Great run, I look forward to seeing the future of this game with other characters and arcade runs!
