For those who don't know, the Wii is releasing GCN remakes that will not only have Wii Controls but some added new features too.

Here's the some games that would be worthy to be posted on SDA

Pikmin 1 new features:
* Widescreen support
* Allow you to swap different coloured Pikmin easier (Hold A and press B to change) like GCN Pikmin 2
* The game will save day-by-day records of the player's playthrough, allowing the player to restart from any recorded day of his or her choice.
* Another notable change is that the pointer controls the cursor that Olimar chucks a Pikmin to (so it's possible to have the cursor behind him during running).

I have to ask since (Wii) Pikmin is coming out here in Europe this week (the US release is 1 month later).

Metroid Prime 1 (I'm sure it's been mentioned in M2k2 forums)
(uncomfirmed)
* Widescreen support
* Metroid Prime 3 Controls and possibly mechanics (allowing Samus to shoot whilst swinging that GCN MP1 didn't have)
* Will it be based from either: NTSC, PAL or NA Player Choice or even a new version?

There's also Pikmin 2 and Metroid Prime 2 with NPC (New Play controls) support as well but of course they're sequels and there's no information on the games' tweaked bits. I wonder what they will do with multiplayer?

Other games that could/could not be good to speedrun on:
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (Come on Bongos > Wii + Nunchuck anyday).
Chibi-Robo
and
Mario Power Tennis (not really speedrunnable).

Edit:
It seems that Donkey Kong Jungle Beat has:
* New levels, modified level design for existing levels, and has more emphasis on traditional platform gameplay.

I bet they'll use the Players Choice version for the US and then modify the controls from that.  What makes you think they'd base it off the original version when it has known crashing and sequence break issues?
Visually Appealing
if i know any better, Prime 1 and 2 will have even more safeguards against sequence breaking. at the very least, they'll probably have Prime 3's ghetto physics.

really, it'll depend on what is changed. and based on the examples given for Pikmin and DK, those changes i think would be enough to warrant seperate categories.

I saw the Japanese Debut trailer on Gametrailers and there are some notable HUD changes including:
*The Wii's battery meter on the top of the screen

*You can only see 1 of the 4 icons on both Beam selection and Visor selection
For example if you select the Ice Beam and using the X-Ray Visor, the Hud only shows those icons, the other icons are will not be there.

*Scan Visor's Cursor shape looks different now, GCN was rectangular but the Wii is Circle.

*You see that the Visor select option is based from MP3.
And I assume you can swap the beams by holding the + button and selecting the beam you want.

*The Missile launcher animation is still the same, meaning that performing the rapid missle trick is still possible (but awkward if you Use the Down button and A rapidly.)

*During a grapple swing you can't use your weapons

MAJOR ADDITION!!!
Watching the Japanese TV Spots you can actually Jump in Morphball form without bombs (Like in Metroid Prime 3).
prime na 0-00 (original us version) doesn't crash on wii. having said that i agree with you that the us version will be based on player's choice. what will be really interesting is whether the european version is the same or is based on the european version. somehow i doubt they will do the same work twice so what may end up happening is that both versions are based on the european version (since they can bill the added features and graphical tweaks of the european version as being added for the wii release to all the pathetic ignorant subhuman north american customers who don't know left from right).

I can see the testing team doing the testing for this:

"So guys, any bugs left over from MP1's release all that time ago that we should probably fix this time around?"

*boots up M2k2*

"Yea, maybe a few..."

Lets be honest, you KNOW M2k2 was used as a baseplate for fixes, and I'm sure there was plenty of un-published bugs found internally based on what was initially found. Having said that, unless they've physially altered some of the polygons in the world itself, then I can imagine the great tree hall bars being left 'untouched'. Once the game is available on 'the scene' it should be interesting to give this bad boy a try.  Cheesy

I wonder how both the Fusion suits and NES Metroid will be unlocked this time (the latter of the 2 is very unlikely).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you could do this in the original MP, either.

the idea is that if the games were to use MP3's "ghetto physics", you would be able to.

You couldn't do it on the original but since Wii Pikmin had easier Pikmin colour swap controls like GCN Pikmin 2, I thought that Wii Prime 1 would have some addition with Grapple Beam Swinging (from GCN Prime 2) but it turns out that Spring Ball from Prime 3 is the addition.

There are some footage of the Spring ball in action at the Official Japanese Metroid Minisite. No more destroying those crates in Magmoor Caverns' morphball maze Cheesy
