Final Fantasy IV: The After Years on the Wii

http://www.archive.org/details/FfivtayTestSample
snow, do you have any opinion on this? it's meant to be d4 graphics but it's highly touched up to only look good at d1 ... i want to say d1 f1 2d but that seems like a horrible thing to subject on him unless it's absolutely necessary ...
everybody wanna tell you the meaning of music
Way off topic, off base, and rhetorical (this means: please don't scrutinize and respond), but has anyone noticed good games tend to be f1, bad games tend to be f2, and really bad games tend to be f3? Just saying. Lips Sealed

I don't like how every other field has smudgy lines, but at F1 it's hard to see, even when you're looking for it. D1 looks better in this case, I say go for it.

Zip file attached with both, if anyone else wants to voice their opinion...

The D4 looks like it's vibrating (1 pixel bob?), so if that's not an encode settings error, the D1 is more watchable. It's not that big of an issue unless you're watching fullscreen though.
d1 f1 2d it is.

sorry, dude. that will take a while. remember that i can encode stuff for you if you want. lq/mq/hq won't be much smaller than the vob if you're recording on sp. if you want to keep the vobs instead of encoding yourself, for info on cutting the vob out, see here. let me know if you have any questions.

aftermath: unfortunately it's not 1 pixel bob and retard bob is woefully insufficient in this case.
Yoshi's eggs are at my mercy!
Could you 'gents provide me with the d/f/fdp for a little game called Jet Set Radio Future?

I'm finally getting around to uploading a 10-minute trailer sampling the little that survived of the 2007 concept speedrun to get everyone excited. Smiley

Could I get a check on Pokemon Rumble?

You need to use the "Extract sample" option in Anri.

Alien Front Online for the Dreamcast: http://www.filefront.com/14978851/afo_sample.mp4

I did the separate fields test and if I use complementparity as well, it looks like it plays at 60fps. What determines the D1/D4 and is there an easy way to check for that as well?

I'm probably retarded for posting a DS video, but: http://www.filefront.com/14978859/cvdos_sample.mp4

It's 60fps, but no idea on the D1/D4 thing again.

alien front online: d1 f1 3d. d1 = full res, so when you separate fields, it bobs. but we don't say that in public because there are 4888923389 other reasons things might bob when you separate fields. you have to learn the difference between them. in general though anything saturn or later consolewise is usually d1.

how did you record the ds video?
Quits halfway
It was recorded with a Canon ES50, which is a pretty old Hi-8 based camera (although I'm not using tapes). I just used the S-video out to plug into my capture card and captured with DScaler into Lagarith (YUY2). Not sure what information would prove useful beyond that.

If you mean the actual setup, it's just a camera on a tripod over a DS :/
just say progressive scan d1 f1 3d (if it even asks).

Sample is from a PAL recording.

D4 F1 3D, assuming there's no blinking effects elsewhere in the game. I don't believe there are, though, from what I remember.

I'll add it to the KB, cheers.

Well, there are parts where the screen flashes white for a frame, like when your sword clashes with a guard's sword.
There are no continuous things like simulated specularity so this single occurrence shouldn't change anything.

eh, attached a sample of the single blinks just in case it do change the outcome.

Reuploaded, should work now.
