Signboard of Hyrule
That's pretty cool Acryte.  If that does work, another possible use might be to skip Telma's escort service (event changed to hide spoiler).

Here's a silly video showing the jump strike being used to reach new, pointless, "playable" areas: JumpStrike_NewGround.avi (location and music spoilers)

Also, there is a height technique you can do at any time (edit: after HS #3), and it seems to get the same height as the jumpstrike (but not the distance).  If you hold Z and left or right, press A twice, and then shake the Wii controller, Link will jump sideways, roll sideways, then do a spin jump.  You even get horizontal momentum if you do it against a wall.  It works best at a slight angle inwards from perpendicular.  Here is an example of using it to get onto something Link won't climb up: SpinJump.avi  (no spoilers)  I've even gotten gotten onto places the jumpstrike doesn't like (the hedges in HC).

Has the cucco patrol seen what happens when you over abuse a cucco now?  From the very top of the mayor's house you can reach a tiny playable area (with diggable items) with a cucco.

Fierce: ROFL.  Can Epona be called over that fall-able gap?  Or pushed over it (and then called from the depths)?

Two words to make the final battle quick and easy: fishing pole.

Don't know if that's been brought up yet but I gave it a shot, and sure enough, beat him in a 3rd of the time it took me the first time.

Finally, my first real contribute to a Zelda speedrun thread.
Yes, a cucco riding the ground.

I suggest checking out TSA's video guides for some stratagy routs when dealing with the tears of light quests. kinda gives a good idea of what could be in  mind for a run.
Speed is the key.
All I got today was the actual game, tp. I didn't get a wii because some bastard screwed up somewhere... probably. So this weekend I'll be sitting here, reading the manual and looking at the awesome cover, waiting for monday to come. Roll Eyes

Don't you think you're just wasting your time by making a route?  I don't see a point since it will be the same as the strategy guides route.  Wait until this game gets broken then make a route.
I'm not THAT bad.
It looks pretty much impossible to break anything up to the FT though, besides, I need a route for my speedrun and well, it would take a while until the game gets broken. Even if it gets sequence broke after my run I can still redo it. :-/ (The game is that fun)

Besides, I have lots of free time  Grin

But if you want I won't bother you with it...  8)

Hi guys.  I know I'm new, but I have some valuable info, even though no device to record it with.

1.  Glitch--useless, requires a restart.  In the Hidden Village, go into the building you go through to get to the Howling Stone.  Climb up the mesh to the second level of said building.  Attempt to get onto the roof to your right.  You are now in a permanent slide, and must reset to get out of it.

2.  I have gotten to the Lakebed Temple in 3:09.  I know I could have saved at least 10 minutes, but probably no more than 20.

These are the good ones.  SEQUENCE BREAKS!

3.  (SB1) Get the Clawshot without touching the spinning platforms.  This may actually take longer than going the proper way, but it has potential.  Go above the first spinning platform room.  Hop on across, fighting the (are they still Dinolfos?) along the way.  Enter the door, get the small key, return.  Jump towards the "point" and you'll land on the platform which leads to the miniboss, and you can nab a key after beating him.

Basically, this switches two keys, and you have to let the water out anyway, which means some backtracking.  I have not timed which way is more effective.

4.  This is the big one.  You can get the boss key before letting the water out the second time--and get to it without going into the room next to the place you get the water out.  In the second room with spinning platforms, Go to where you can clawshot to the standard exit.  Don't clawshot though.  Jump towards the spoke extending towards you (on the far wheel from the entrance) and you'll land on a platform with two pots.  You can Clawshot over to the platform leading to the area near the Boss Key.  Then, getting back, go back to the pot platform, clawshot up, over to a platform with a treasure chest, then jump down onto another potted platform.  Clawshot over to the first entrance, and you're on your way back to the big room.

I haven't been able to pull off the staircase trick, but if I do, I'll have gotten to Morpheel without letting both waters out.
Spitoon.
Woohoo!  Sequence broken WITHOUT using the glitch.

Once you're back in the main room, clawshot (I always want to type hookshot) to the chandelier.  PoH optional.  Walk off slowly, and fall, jump attacking if you need to.  You'll be on the platform with the boss door.
I'm not THAT bad.

I FOUND THAT ONE FIRST!  Angry NO FAIR.
Spitoon.
I did see that...but you didn't describe how you had done it.

Whoever makes a video first is the one who found it.
Whoever can't make videos also can't make discoveries?  There is a flaw in this logic.
