Yeah I know it's not all about being obscure, but it's part of the fun in my opinion. They are all games that are certainly playable in my opinion, I'm not trying to send people terrible messes of games or anything.
EDIT: Oh what the hell, what's the worst that can happen?
This. This is a dangerous attitude. But this is what I like to see.
For a timeline, there is none. I'm sure over half of the participants don't ever plan to finish their runs. Ideally this wouldn't be the case, but it was bound to happen. If you get busy or other things come up, don't worry about it.
As Zenic mentioned, ButtersBB has a SNES game for trade, so you can partner up with him. If not him, I will be looking for an SNES to receive after AGDQ, so you and I could trade. That wouldn't be for a few more months though, so if you want to trade now, I suggest ButtersBB.
Edit: I forgot to mention that I added you to the second post.
And yea, don't worry about it not being obscure or whatever. Obscure games are fun, but there are some overlooked classics that are worthy too (Plok!).
Thanks PJ, I didn't necessarily mean they had to be obscure, I just like that they seem to be. Adds to the fun for me. I'll drop Butters a line, but after AGDQ I'll probably still have an SNES game for you, and maybe then I'll have a gauge of whether or not I'm down to trade another one.
Oh, if it's not too late, you should both send me a PM with what games are being sent so I can make sure they are OK. I don't think there are any games that are "reserved" at the moment, but it never hurts to check.
Insipid, if no one takes you up on your game in a couple months or so I may have a couple ideas for ps1/ps2 games I could trade that would fit this exchange nicely, but I need to see how things go with the games I'm trading with butters first.
Haha, thanks man! No problem if you need to work on that exchange in the meantime. I'm just glad someone has offered at least a potential exchange with me.
2nd post updated to include the two pending trades, and UltraJMan's switch from The Krion Conquest to X-Kaliber 2097. He feared the power of Krion Conquest and he got Rane's approval to switch to X-K 2097. God knows why.
Initial impressions: This is the 90's mascot era at its finest. Super colorful game with "fast-paced" gameplay and a hero with "attitude!" Sonic's got nothing on the NINJA of the "NTH" DIMENSION.
Game only has 6 stages.... And each stage has FOUR LEVELS.
First stage, I'm already encountering goopy sewage water that slows Zool to a crawl and prevents him from jumping. Speaking of jumping, it seems that Zool jumps way faster than he runs, though he also gets raped by GIANT BEES.
Picking up inanimate objects is required before the game lets you finish a stage... Goodie.
Hehe, good to hear it arrived, I hope you enjoy it. I'm personally not a fan of the game, the backgrounds hurt my brain, and random enemies coming out of no where make me want to punch every bee who ever lived, which is part of the reason why it came to mind for a game to send out. Other people like it though, so I figured it wasn't the worse that could happen.
Mine hasn't arrived yet. Maybe tomorrow, we shall see, but I'm going to be locked with school and what not for at least the next week, hopefully whatever it is I'll be able to squeeze out some time with it once it arrives.
I just started practicing the game I'm sending to Dragondarch. My goal is to finish it once before I send. I think I regret choosing this game simply because I gotta play through it first... But both Essentia and I laughed until we cried.
Dragondarch is gonna have fun... as soon as I manage to finish the game
I've been running Zool a bit, although the genesis version, and in PAL. If the levels are comparable (direct port? timer might be slowed equally?) I've got some goal times for you up to 3-1. Oh btw, you are expected to run it on hard. The only thing difficulty affects is how many items you need before the levels open up, and the route planning is way way more fun if you go for the only difficulty
