Yes, a cucco riding the ground.
The "Game Name and Category" textbox on the submission form says the following:

Quote:
Include Region (NTSC/PAL/etc) and System if applicable
Also include other tags such as difficulty or character choice

So, it's really asking for four pieces of information:
  • Game name
  • Category (including difficulty, character choice, etc.)
  • Region (if applicable)
  • System (if applicable; I don't see why it wouldn't be)
It might be easier to enter this information into separate boxes instead of putting it all in a single free-text string.

First of all, I agree with you and even thought the same thing myself in the past. As you can probably imagine, how the current field is filled out can vary wildly from one submitter to another. It's not always easy to understand exactly in which category a submission falls based on the description provided. That problem would likely be reduced by splitting it up to something like you suggest.

It's not technically difficult to change this, but would require to dig into the details a bit and make sure links etc are updated correctly. Right now, the activity is low for this type of minor improvements. It's a resource question.
Yes, that would make more sense like that, the current system's a bit awkward!
