Got a new pb (1:45:57): http://www.twitch.tv/spheremj/c/6343219 Got the skip above 2nd try, but attrexian station & colony where horrible. At least getting closer to sub 1:45
It happened: http://www.twitch.tv/spheremj/c/6370979 Run died to the commander blocking my radiation disruptor shot with one of his small projectiles just in front of me
Basically the turobliftdoor only closes after the cadete turns around. By talking to her you delay that, giving you time to activate the turbolift and exit it. Apparently they coded the turbolift as "move player X units down", so that i go to a position right above the cutscene with Tuvok and get moved directly into it
Nice PB and a nice new find. I see you managed to get that completed modulation too
Only have my low spec laptop at the moment so can't really help with looking for new stuff but I can watch your runs and point out potential ideas and timesavers.
I figured damage boosts form enemies would save time in this game as they can launch you a good distance or help build up your speed. Look forward to your sub 1:45
Very solid run with first try attrexian engineer and factory skip Ingame time if cutting out the reloads would be 1:36:26. Only a few mistakes overall. Telsia decided to stand around a bit in the borg sphere and i needed quite a couple of tries for the gate skip. I didn't get the very first cycle with the hull cannon and died a few times because of low health while hunting Omag. Also the last commander fight was pretty bad. Still i think this might be pretty hard to beat without new tricks, especially with getting pretty much perfect rng on avak'stas and attrexian engineer.
I found out that you only have to kill certain enemies for Korban to open the door to the jeffreys tube in the intruders part, should save a bit of time: http://www.twitch.tv/spheremj/c/6541334
Also i did a comparison of different movement techniques in shafts:
Boosting with the compression rifle is fastest, should be possible at some parts in the enterprise aswell. When wallrunning, going forwards or backwards is equally fast.
Btw, i submitted EF2 to ESA and it somehow made it through the first cut Will any of you guys be around?
Very solid run, romulan section was horrible, aswell as the skip before the final boss fight. Again good attrexian engineer and avakstas tho, so might be hard to beat again
During ESA i (or rather Pogington, who plugged off his headphones) found a new glitch in EF1 however. If you don't have an audio output (for a Desktop PC you can achieve that by just not heaving headphones plugged in) the game will throw errors when trying to play sounds and completely skip them. All the dialogs that u usually have to wait for are skipped that way. It saves about 10 minutes. On a laptop you have to disable the speaker device in system control to use the glitch, because even without headphones you still have your laptop speakers.
Idk if you can argue that that is not legit, but i don't see why playing without headphones shouldn't be allowed. Also it improves the run so much, because 10 minutes that you usually spent on just waiting are skipped, that i definitely wanna use it. http://www.twitch.tv/spheremj/c/6949673 is one of my first runs with the glitch, going for sub 1 hour.
